So far I am really enjoying Aurora Rising and have started to read Nevernight for my series in a month. I know both books are hardcore reads so I am hoping to finish Aurora Rising before the end of this week and really get into Nevernight. I am excited for these two reads. I am just hoping real life can slow down so I can have more time.

Real life & Blogging:
I thought last week was bad, this week was complete MADNESS!!! Can I tell you I don’t have a free weekend until after Thanksgiving! I am EXHAUSTED! and need a vacation. I have two days left to use at work and I am planning to take the week off at Christmas because I need some time unwind! I feel like I have been running non-stop since September. This week took forever, busy work, practice, halloween, My daughters birthday, Hispanic Heritage Day Cheer, Football Game and Tag day (fundraiser for cheer) and Dinner for my daughters birthday. I am done but of course next week starts a new schedule of practice for cheer competition, days off for the kids, hair cut for my girl, party for her b-day and Veterans day Parade. Lord give me strength.
Halloween was quiet, I went to the parade at my daughters school (this will be her last year for it), we came home carved a pumpkin, eat pizza and watched The Banana Split Movie which was so bad it was good. My son wouldn’t watch it but my daugther begged to watch a scary movie so we agreed to that one since we knew it would be bad. My husband hated it but we loved it. It was funny, gory and Five Nights at Freddy scary. It made me miss all the halloween movies SyFy used to have on during October.
Saturday was my baby girls 12th birthday! She had a game at night. All she wanted was to get her hair dyed pink. So I made an appointment and next week she is going to get her hair dyed pink (at the end of her hair not the entire head) and a cut. She is so excited. I might have a few friends come over after to hang and watch movies.
I was able to do a few blogging things and we got the next COYER all worked out. That sign up should be up at some point next week…I hope. I am still behind but I think I will finish out the year as much as I can and save most of my stuff for next year. I am feeling a lot more bloggy lately so I hope this is a sign of good things coming.
What I am watching:
I started watch Cold Case Files. I haven’t started Christmas movies yet…I know I am shocked also. I think I will get my Christmas on Monday since I really don’t have time this weekend to really watch anything. Plus it’s Christmas Movies and you know me!
What I am playing:
I made an amazing Mom and Daughter on the Sims and I am having so much fun with it. The local vampire Vlad came to my house and bite my teen daughter. So the next day I sent the mom sim over and kicked his ass. We are now enemies but at least that keeps him from biting my daughter again because I have no problem kicking his ass again. 🙂
Just for Fun:
So tell me what have you been reading and up to this week?
Hope you all have a fantastic week!!!
Happy Reading

Michelle, I’m exhausted just thinking about all you have going on right now! It’s so much! Happy Birthday to Julia, I can’t believe she’s 12 now. Almost a teenager (y’all are in so much trouble!) and I can’t wait to see the pink hair 🙂
Any chance things will slow down this week for you? A little? I hope so! {{HUGS}}
OMG, so crazy busy! Like you, I now have something on every weekend but mine is up until Christmas! I could cry! I know it’s fun stuff but I’m a homebody and I’m going to crash at some point… I guess it’s a ‘suck it up and see how it goes’ time of year! :/
I’m so excited for the HoHoHoRAT but worried about how I’ll balance it with the Read A Series In A Month goal… Meh. I’ll work it out.
Have a good week, Michelle!
I hope real life can slow down here too. Both your current reads some awesome (and are books I want to read). I understand the need for a vacation. I haven’t had a free weekend in so long. I am taking a week off for Thanksgiving, and hopefully that will be somewhat restful. Maybe I can finally give my house the big cleaning it’s in desperate need of . . . How fun will that be? Haha. I hope your daughter had a nice birthday. I hope you have a great week.
Ack HoHoHo RAT! I need to line some books up for that I guess. Yikes.
Glad you had a nice Halloween. I miss the SyFy stuff too. Is that channel even around? I haven’t heard anything about it in ages. I mean, I’m sure it is, but since I ditched cable I’m clueless on anything they’re doing. Netflix has devoured my life I guess!
That is hilarious about the SIMS.
I hope this week has a bit less action! I keep thinking I will get a routine and get more done I was glad to have this weekend with 2 days at home and I’m still working on things so, so slowly Good luck with your reading and enjoy!

Girls do know what they want from a young age! Mine wanted a piercing and got two as soon as she was 18! I hope next week will be better for you! Less busy at least.
Happy 12th birthday to the little miss 🙂 It sounds like she had a great day, with more goodness to come. I can’t wait to see her hair with pink ends! My 14-yo daughter has dark purple ends, and it looks fantastic – I’m a little jealous 😉
I hope things will slow down for you – October – December are exhausting to me, too. And I’m not sure where and how to find the time to do everything I have to do for work and uni – but I will persevere.
I really look forward to winter COYER.
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading.
It sounds like a great idea, just having the ends done pink – and I think it looks so pretty too… A very happy birthday to her. Next week my grandson is 10 and I’m not sure when that happened, either… No wonder you’re so tired – I hope you get a chance to put your feet up and enjoy a bit of reading in the coming week.
I would have loved to have my hair dyed pink when I was her age! Hope things settle down soon and you are able to relax.
I am going to take the week of christmas since I have so much to do but also can do it on my own time without going crazy.
Wow, your busy but I guess that is the fun of being a cheer mom right? 🙂 I don’t see how parents do it, especially moms because they are really the ones who do it all. My cousin is a sports mom and she is always busy! I can’t wait for you to start Nevernight as I am really curious about that one. I don’t think it is a book for me but I keep seeing it everywhere and I am tempted…lol.
You playing Sims really makes me wish I had the new sims!! Sounds so fun and I haven’t played sims in years!
Have a great week and happy reading!
Stormi ox (miss your face!)
Sports moms run around a lot but she loves it so I don’t mind too much. I am just tired. lol
I started it the other day and it isn’t too bad. I am glad I found it on ebook because the text is so small.
Next time I see the sims for free I will let you know because that is when we grabbed it and with a new pack coming out it might happen soon.
Wow. You were very busy! I hope you are able to sneak in some downtime soon! I was supposed to have a busy set of weekends myself, but things happened. Plans got cancelled and now I was left with boredom for this weekend–which I totally understand why it had to be that way. Though I still found myself on a bit of a shopping binge. It was 50/50 for gifts for people and stuff for me! Lol!! Next weekend will be a good kind of busy as I’m taking a mini vacation and then the Monday after I return I have a book signing I plan to attend! Though I’m actually feeling depressed about the holidays because it will be the first time in a long time that I have to work Black Friday and I am not at all happy about that.
Yay for not adding to the TBR pile. I added about 3 nooks this week plus some other keeper copy styled ones! Lol. Yeah…I’ve got a book addiction!
Hope you have a great week ahead and manage to find some downtime/restful moments for yourself!
Here’s my StS
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
I love when plans get cancelled, I am not at that age. lol I am not a fan of going out much, I prefer to stay home especially in the winter.
They never have books signing my me. They do in NY but it’s not as easy to get to as some might think.
I have a few books that I want but I am trying to hold off until closer to the holidays when they have more sales.
Congrats to your girl on her Bday! You could have her get a pink ombre. It will look a lot better than just at the bottom of her hair and it won’t touch the roots if you tell the hairdresser. I did it once for myself with dark purple and another time with magenta. It turned out great! I suggest you ask them to dye her hair first either blonde or Caramel, depending on how bright she wants the pink. Because bleaching is the worst they can do to a hair. Perks of that is that when the pink starts going away, she’ll have a Caramel ombre color that looks super natural. Just a suggestion 🙂
My daughter has interesting hair, she is a honey blonde with streaks of light and dark. Her hair is great. I am having it done so I am sure they will do what they think looks good just not her entire head. I am not sure she is allowed that with school but thank you, I will make sure to ask about the lightening instead of bleach. 🙂
