Reading:

So far I am really enjoying Aurora Rising and have started to read Nevernight for my series in a month. I know both books are hardcore reads so I am hoping to finish Aurora Rising before the end of this week and really get into Nevernight. I am excited for these two reads. I am just hoping real life can slow down so I can have more time.

Real life & Blogging:

I thought last week was bad, this week was complete MADNESS!!! Can I tell you I don’t have a free weekend until after Thanksgiving! I am EXHAUSTED! and need a vacation. I have two days left to use at work and I am planning to take the week off at Christmas because I need some time unwind! I feel like I have been running non-stop since September. This week took forever, busy work, practice, halloween, My daughters birthday, Hispanic Heritage Day Cheer, Football Game and Tag day (fundraiser for cheer) and Dinner for my daughters birthday. I am done but of course next week starts a new schedule of practice for cheer competition, days off for the kids, hair cut for my girl, party for her b-day and Veterans day Parade. Lord give me strength.

Halloween was quiet, I went to the parade at my daughters school (this will be her last year for it), we came home carved a pumpkin, eat pizza and watched The Banana Split Movie which was so bad it was good. My son wouldn’t watch it but my daugther begged to watch a scary movie so we agreed to that one since we knew it would be bad. My husband hated it but we loved it. It was funny, gory and Five Nights at Freddy scary. It made me miss all the halloween movies SyFy used to have on during October.

Saturday was my baby girls 12th birthday! She had a game at night. All she wanted was to get her hair dyed pink. So I made an appointment and next week she is going to get her hair dyed pink (at the end of her hair not the entire head) and a cut. She is so excited. I might have a few friends come over after to hang and watch movies.

I was able to do a few blogging things and we got the next COYER all worked out. That sign up should be up at some point next week…I hope. I am still behind but I think I will finish out the year as much as I can and save most of my stuff for next year. I am feeling a lot more bloggy lately so I hope this is a sign of good things coming.

What I am watching:

I started watch Cold Case Files. I haven’t started Christmas movies yet…I know I am shocked also. I think I will get my Christmas on Monday since I really don’t have time this weekend to really watch anything. Plus it’s Christmas Movies and you know me!

What I am playing:

I made an amazing Mom and Daughter on the Sims and I am having so much fun with it. The local vampire Vlad came to my house and bite my teen daughter. So the next day I sent the mom sim over and kicked his ass. We are now enemies but at least that keeps him from biting my daughter again because I have no problem kicking his ass again. 🙂

Just for Fun:

So tell me what have you been reading and up to this week?

Hope you all have a fantastic week!!!

Happy Reading

  1. OMG, so crazy busy! Like you, I now have something on every weekend but mine is up until Christmas! I could cry! I know it’s fun stuff but I’m a homebody and I’m going to crash at some point… I guess it’s a ‘suck it up and see how it goes’ time of year! :/

I’m so excited for the HoHoHoRAT but worried about how I’ll balance it with the Read A Series In A Month goal… Meh. I’ll work it out.

    Have a good week, Michelle!

  2. I hope real life can slow down here too. Both your current reads some awesome (and are books I want to read). I understand the need for a vacation. I haven’t had a free weekend in so long. I am taking a week off for Thanksgiving, and hopefully that will be somewhat restful. Maybe I can finally give my house the big cleaning it’s in desperate need of . . . How fun will that be? Haha. I hope your daughter had a nice birthday. I hope you have a great week.

  3. Ack HoHoHo RAT! I need to line some books up for that I guess. Yikes.

Glad you had a nice Halloween. I miss the SyFy stuff too. Is that channel even around? I haven’t heard anything about it in ages. I mean, I’m sure it is, but since I ditched cable I’m clueless on anything they’re doing. Netflix has devoured my life I guess!

That is hilarious about the SIMS.

  4. Happy 12th birthday to the little miss 🙂 It sounds like she had a great day, with more goodness to come. I can’t wait to see her hair with pink ends! My 14-yo daughter has dark purple ends, and it looks fantastic – I’m a little jealous 😉
I hope things will slow down for you – October – December are exhausting to me, too. And I’m not sure where and how to find the time to do everything I have to do for work and uni – but I will persevere.
I really look forward to winter COYER.
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading.

  5. It sounds like a great idea, just having the ends done pink – and I think it looks so pretty too… A very happy birthday to her. Next week my grandson is 10 and I’m not sure when that happened, either… No wonder you’re so tired – I hope you get a chance to put your feet up and enjoy a bit of reading in the coming week.

  6. Wow, your busy but I guess that is the fun of being a cheer mom right? 🙂 I don’t see how parents do it, especially moms because they are really the ones who do it all. My cousin is a sports mom and she is always busy! I can’t wait for you to start Nevernight as I am really curious about that one. I don’t think it is a book for me but I keep seeing it everywhere and I am tempted…lol.

You playing Sims really makes me wish I had the new sims!! Sounds so fun and I haven’t played sims in years!

Have a great week and happy reading!

  7. Wow. You were very busy! I hope you are able to sneak in some downtime soon! I was supposed to have a busy set of weekends myself, but things happened. Plans got cancelled and now I was left with boredom for this weekend–which I totally understand why it had to be that way. Though I still found myself on a bit of a shopping binge. It was 50/50 for gifts for people and stuff for me! Lol!! Next weekend will be a good kind of busy as I’m taking a mini vacation and then the Monday after I return I have a book signing I plan to attend! Though I’m actually feeling depressed about the holidays because it will be the first time in a long time that I have to work Black Friday and I am not at all happy about that.

Yay for not adding to the TBR pile. I added about 3 nooks this week plus some other keeper copy styled ones! Lol. Yeah…I’ve got a book addiction!

Hope you have a great week ahead and manage to find some downtime/restful moments for yourself!

  8. Congrats to your girl on her Bday! You could have her get a pink ombre. It will look a lot better than just at the bottom of her hair and it won’t touch the roots if you tell the hairdresser. I did it once for myself with dark purple and another time with magenta. It turned out great! I suggest you ask them to dye her hair first either blonde or Caramel, depending on how bright she wants the pink. Because bleaching is the worst they can do to a hair. Perks of that is that when the pink starts going away, she’ll have a Caramel ombre color that looks super natural. Just a suggestion 🙂
