Week in READ-view is a post I have posted on Sundays telling you what I have been up to this week and what I read or am reading. The Sunday Post is a meme sponsored by the awesome Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. Itβs a chance to share news, post a recap of the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
On the Blog & Real Life:
It was Sunday night and I walked into the living room to talk to my husband, when I turned to glance behind me I looked into the hermit crab cage and much to my dismay there was Spiderman all hanging out of his shell…I am sure you know where this story is going…
I sighed and said “Oh No! Spiderman is dead he fell out of his shell”
My husband: “Are you sure”
Me: “Yes, he’s completely out, look….Oh nevermind, he’s still in there, just molted”
GOSH DAMNIT! These little shits got me again!
So, oops, I sort of got a lot of books this week. I really didn’t mean it but Edelweiss put up a bunch of books and I found a few book number 2s that I wanted, so I grabbed them, only to realized that two books I have been waiting to get approved on Netgalley got approved. Plus two more just showed up on Netgalley and the author was going to send me a link once they were all up but I realized I am auto approved for them so I grabbed two of the three, I already read the first one but she had mentioned she added a characters so I want to re-read it or at least skim over it to make sure going into the second book I am not confused so I grabbed the 1st one also. The third one isn’t done yet. So, oops!
Spend Friday having a me day because I am an adult and I can have one. lol I also did a few things but I also took a nap…I love naps. It really gave me a good refresh to clear my brains because on Saturday I spent 8 Hours cleaning out my sons room and HOLY COW! That kids had a lot of stuff. Thank goodness he was willing to part with a lot so his room is pretty much empty and looks fantastic. Next up is my daughters room and that should take me two days because HOLY COW! I don’t know how she even fits in that room with all that stuff. I can’t wait to rip her room apart, lets hope she is will to part with some stuff like her brother did.
This week is going to I hope be a nice normal week. Mini Bloggiesta starts on Saturday so I have made a great list of things I want to do, I am think this week is going to be very quiet again as I slowly get back into doing post. I had so much for December and with limbo I sort of feel really behind so the Mini Bloggiesta came at a perfect time.

So tell me what have you been reading and up to this week?
Hope you all have a fantastic week!!!
Happy Reading
WOOT! I see an awesome superhero book on that list. π
Of course! I can’t wait to read them. I’m re-reading the first one after my current read π
When I play Diablo III with the kids I make them do all the work since I rarely play and I’m usually a hindrance more than a help. LOL Great job on the room cleaning! I need to do the boys room and the Man Cave, but I’m not a masochist. π Good luck with Julia’s room! And yay to having the blog back up and running! xo
Wow, you’ve been busy! It’s good you took some time for yourself. I could nap when I was younger, but now I find it difficult. Good luck with your book haul! It sounds like you’ve got your work cut our for you. Even though you did it because you were feeling lazy, your Kindle photo actually looks really good. Like a mini bookshelf π
You have a time with them hermit crabs, I am glad Spiderman wasn’t dead and just molting. π You sure got a lot of books! We got one of the same. I got Down with Shine too! Some of the others looks cute. π I hope you enjoy them all!
PS. So glad our blogs are back!!! π
They are very entertaining even if they give me tons of stress lol
I am not getting like you π
I am glad it’s back up too, that was a rough 8 hours.
Sorry to hear about Spiderman, thats a shame. Boy you had fun with your book shopping, LOL. I LOVE the Minecraft picture of the three of you, that is awesome!! And I also love naps… Happy Reading!!
He didn’t die, just molted. I put him in a little house until his new skin harders and he seems to be doing good.
I really did but most of these are galley grabs π I love the picture too, it’s fun to play with the kids even if they steal my stuff. π
I was approved for one I’d forgotten I’d requested this past week. I was both elated (because it’s a book I really want to read! Yay!) and sad because I didn’t want to download any new books until I at least make a little more progress on my COYER goal. I’ve come close to requesting a few other books, but I’ve been good. It’s been hard though. Darn that NetGalley and Edelweiss!
I haven’t had a me day in so long! I am glad you were able to have one. Have a wonderful week, Michelle!
I had my % up to 70 and now it went down again. I do vow to read and get to most if not all of my netgalley/edelweiss books read this year. Just need to stop requesting them.
Sometimes a you day is needed even if it’s a trip to the library or starbucks to just sit alone a bit for a while. I need to remember to take more of those.
I left home permanently this year and my room sounds like your kids. I’m rubbish at throwing anything out, but thank goodness I’m getting better because we’re moving again this year and I’m beginning to dread it!!
I dread even thinking about moving and I throw out everything. I prefer simple over clutter. I tend to get rid of stuff often. My husband gets so mad but our house is small and to much stuff makes it look smaller. π
LOL about Minecraft! What a week you had- and those crabs! I think if it were me I would make them go away… by accident of course! OK not really… but that would kinda freak you out, I agree!
Nice that Edelweiss and NG came through. I think I’m going to break down and jump on Netgalley
Hope your week is a good one. π
I really won’t mind getting them stuff if they would at least get more but nope they are always asking for something from my chests.
You would think by now I would assume they molted instead of died but nope, he looked totally dead.
Netgalley is cool but you really need to be careful because it can be very dangerous too. π
I’m a lover of naps as well and – while I’m not working full time / at all – I’m having more than I should.
I did the same thing with NetGalley last week. I hadn’t been on there for a few weeks and so requested 4-5 things. Fortunately they’re not due for publication for a while so I can spread them out a little!
I have off on Fridays and it’s usually my blogging day but I felt like I needed a nap.
Netgalley drives me crazy that way, I think one of the books I requested in November, why does it take so long. lol One of the books I got Archives on the 14th, I read it quickly but my review won be up until next week so I sort of missed it. They just didn’t give me enough time
Awesome haul! I remember doing semi-annual deep cleans of my kids rooms..yep..now my girls would part with things. My son..oh Michelle he is going to be twenty-three and has every toy, lego, book etc since he was a toddler. He will not throwing any of it away. When he was a child we couldn’t even throw out the box or package they came in…since then he let the boxes go. So funny, approvals or library books come in clusters..and only after you pick up new books! Have a great week.
32gal container fulled to the top with Legos. I just put that down the basement and I think I might be more sad about it then him. I have the opposite problem my daughter wont get rid of anything. She a hoarders episode waiting to happen. π
