Week in READ-view & The Sunday Post

WIR vectorstock_43821-1-1Week in READ-view is a post I have posted on Sundays telling you what I have been up to this week and what I read or am reading. The Sunday Post is a meme sponsored by the awesome Kimba at the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. Itโ€™s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Real Life & Blog News:

This week was not exciting at all….Just a regular week with all the normal everyday things…YAY!!!

Our Cat Buttons had her blood work done on Saturday so she can have surgery on Wednesday we are a little nervous but I know she will be fine. I have faith and all my fingers and toes crossed. If you have a moment and are a praying person just give her a little prayer and some positive energies. It will be very much appreciated.

I was able to finish One book and am now eading the one I had to put on hold. I am hoping to be finished with it by the time this goes live. I am torn as to what to start next, this is the first time I have had a problem picking my next read so the one that is posted below is subject to change ๐Ÿ™‚

COYER has been doing really good and this weekend was Mini Bloggiesta! I am not officially a MONTH ahead on my posts and now have enough time to read, write reviews and maybe even come up with some original content posts…YAY!!!! again

Ok I need your opinion, I love my new My To-Be Read List post and I love that you guys pick my next read and it really has helped out a lot with my reading books on my TBR list but I wanted to make it even more interactive like instead of people joining in to read the book that is picked for me I thought maybe I can pick 3 books of my own and then someone can pick 3 books they want to read and post it on there blog but I will have a linky on my blog for anyone that wants to join in and we can all help each other pick a book that month by visiting each others blog like this post how we all visit each other. The post would go up the first Saturday of the month and the last Saturday of the month is when your review would go up that would be a linky too. I thought this would be great to drive traffic to peoples blogs and help pick your next read (still working out all the specific details)….So what do you think? Should I do this or keep it the way I had it?

Going to enjoy a WWE Event with the kids tonight. Enjoy your Sunday!

  1. Best wishes for Buttons, hoping it all goes smoothly. It’s always tough when a pet has to go through surgery. I think your idea sounds like fun! Like someone else said, you can always try it. I like the look of your review books, those first three look kinda scary- in a good way! ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Thank you!
I think the Crown of Ice is a snow queen retelling and the other two I believe are a bit creepy. If you haven’t read a month9book you should check them out they are pretty good publishing company ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks for stopping by Greg ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. I love the idea for your To Be Read List (I already told you that, but still!) and would totally be in. Might help me get to some of those 400+ books I need to read.

Fingers and toes crossed for buttons, hope she does well ๐Ÿ™‚ Talk to you later for Twitter chats!!

      • One error said “URL too long,” which is the one I leave at all the blogs (the links to my post); and the other one said I didn’t stay on the blog long enough to comment. That didn’t even make sense, because I read the whole post! LOL

        • That’s is comment luv I will have to look over my settings. The URL is weird I had a few people tell me they can post it. I think it has to do with my spam controls will look into that as well ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. I am stopping in from the meme. Unexciting weeks are good. It\’s like that old curse about living in interesting times. Interesting times are never healthy because interesting means things are off kilter. My week ended up being toooo interesting. I am not a praying person, but I will certainly send positive thought waves Buttons\\\’ way.

    • That is very true. IT was nice things were quiet but I wonder if that means next week will be super crazy ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you for the positive thoughts for buttons, Hate to see my furbaby not feeling well ๐Ÿ™

  4. wow a month ahead, that’s awesome! I’ve been doign really badly with scheduling posts ahead lately. I used to have around 10-20 posts scheduled, but now only 1 or 2. I am also signing-up for less book blitzes and such, so that might be the reason for the less scheduled posts. I usually schedule review posts a few days after I finished the book, so they don’t stay scheduled for long.

Good luck with Button her surgery, I hope all goes right!

I think your idea for expanding your To Be Read list feature would work, it would be more like a meme then. I would say give it a try and if it doesn’t work out, just revert it back to how it is now.

    • The Bloggiesta really helps it makes me focus on nothing but post set ups and stuff I have been putting off doing so this weekend was VERY productive. Hate that it’s over today but maybe this will give me the momentum to keep being ahead.

I might try out the feature and your right I can always go back if it doesn’t work out. Just thought it would be fun. People don’t have to do it every month. Might do an introduction post soon for it. Never hurts to try ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. I’ll think of Buttons on Wednesday for sure! Great books this week! Congrats on the Goodreads win – I didn’t know anybody was winning anymore ๐Ÿ˜‰ And Stacia’s book looks real good.

    • Her Good Gods series is fantastic, I recommend it. They are quick read also.

I didn’t think anyone won either ๐Ÿ™‚ it was a surprise!

Thank you Buttons looks like she knows something is coming, I have faith it will be all good ๐Ÿ™‚

  6. Oh nice! These are new to me! Congrats on the win! I think in all the years I’ve been on Goodreads, I’ve only ever read one book. Hope you enjoy all your new reads!

The comment box doesn’t seem to like my urls. Had that happen to me at another blogger’s site too. So weird.

Stop by my STS if you can!

    Have a GREAT day!

  7. I like regular non-exciting weeks. But then I’m a crotchedy old hermit. LOL I’m working on filling up my August with posts and have about half of them drafted. Just need to write up the reviews and I’ll have most of it done. I’m quite flabbergasted about it. ๐Ÿ˜€ To be honest, I won’t be participating in any linky things, but I do like voting for your next read. Hope you have a wonderful week! ๐Ÿ™‚

    • I am also like being an old hermit. It was nice this weekend to be home and just vegetate. Thank you for being honest. I love that you do vote. It’s been so much fun to see what book I will read next ๐Ÿ™‚ I am so happy to be ahead since we are going away for a week in August.
