Just a Normal week ~ WIR & TSP

WIR vectorstock_43821-1-1Week in READ-view is a post I have posted on Sundays telling you what I have been up to this week and what I read or am reading. The Sunday Post is a meme sponsored by the awesome Kimba at the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Real Life & Blog News:

I had a rather normal week, Yay! Last week I mentioned that out dog Dexter wasn’t feeling well and for a while we were very worried but with a little TLC and a few sleepless nights he is doing much better and back to his old self again.

Waiting for a cookie!

During the week I was a little less productive but I did spend most of Saturday setting up posts and making gravy while watching Stephen King’s Rose Red. I have a few reviews to still write and I am hoping get them written tonight.

We are going pumpkin/apple picking today but don’t plan to make an entire day of it since my Nanny is in the hospital and we have to go visit her. If you are a praying person even if it’s to the Gnome on your front lawn I could use a few prayers and positive energies this week for her.

Next weekend I might not have a Sunday post depending on how this week goes, I am also looking to take a little blogger weekend vacation so since next weekend is a busy family party weekend I figured I would do it then.

Also you still have time to sign up for A Month of Giving Thanks, I started my posts for it and I found it’s very easy to write.

A Month of Giving Thanksand also I am participating in the Spooktacular Giveaway Hop if you haven’t had a chance to check it out please stop by my post and enter for a chance to win then hop on over to all the other 270 bloggers that are participating they are giving away such awesome stuff.

  1. Glad that Dexter is doing much better. πŸ™‚
A weekend break is probably a good thing judging by your November calendar, although mine may be just as busy but I’m too scared to look. LOL I’ve also linked up for your month of giving thanks but I’m also doing a couple of challenges too, yep I’ll be busy too. πŸ˜‰
    Have a great week.

    • Sometimes it good to be busy and from what it seems like a lot of people are. I am hoping that the weekend I can spend sometime reading. I plan to do a bunch of setting up posts and such this week so I can get it out of the way.
So glad you are going to join us, it’s nice to give thanks to people once in a while I think it’s something we need to do more of πŸ™‚

  2. Well I’m not a praying person, but Ill have your Nanny in my thoughts for sure! We really do need to talk!

Buffy wasn’t feeling well one day this week and I won’t lie, I panicked. She’s my baby. But the next day she was back to normal.

I’ve been doing a horrible job sharing the giving thanks sign UPS. Oops. You rock though! Talk soon!!!

    • That’s why we make such a good team when you stink at sharing I usually and doing a good job of it and visa versa lol

Those fluffy babies do set us into a panic. It’s only because they really look to us to help them and those eyes break my heart when they are not well. I am actually thinking the new treats I bought him might be what made him so sick and not a virus but he is much better now.

Let me know what day is good for you so I can set 4 hours aside to talk LOL

  3. LOL, I tried real hard to but got one from Netgalley..I think we both did really good..LOL. Glad Dexter is doing well..I swear him and my girl Dresden *I know I named her have a guy..lol..It’s for Harry Dresden..one of my favorite book characters.) would make great mates.. LOL. That picture of your dog almost looks like mine. I need to take an updated picture of her..lol. πŸ™‚

    • Our dogs could be related πŸ™‚ It’s cute their names both start with a D too. I am trying really hard to stay away from netgalley but I can’t help but peek every once in a while πŸ™‚

  4. Yay to Dexter’s good health and I’ve revved up the {{{posivibes}}} for Bea, so I’ll spin some off in your direction for your Nanny. πŸ™‚ This week I nee dto plot out my NetGalley Novemebr reads. I’m so far behind I’m getting ready to lap myself. Wow. Is my ass really that big?! I need more dreadmill time. And cowbell. πŸ˜‰

    • Thank you Kim, We have our fingers crossed Nanny will be ok but she is 92 and has a lot going on but we are hopeful! Didn’t realize how popular Dexter is for a Dog lol I know someone else with a dog named dexter πŸ™‚

  6. Glad to hear Dexter is doing well, that’s great news. Poor guy. And prayers for your Nanny- definetly. Best wishes there.

You had some great stuff this week, enjoyed your Top Ten lists especially the younger scary books. Looking forward to your review of Vivian Apple, curious about that one.

  7. That’s good news that dexter is doing well again! Have fun with the pumpkin/apple picking, it sounds so much fun! Well wishes to your Nanny.

November is going to be a really busy month for me as well, I already have a lot of posts scheduled, most of them for sci-fi month. I am really looking forward to it!

I am trying to stay away from Netgalley lately, every time I am there I seem to find a new interesting book, while I already have enough of them.
