WIR vectorstock_43821-1-1Week in READ-view is a post I have posted on Sundays tell you what I have been up to this week and what I read or am reading. The Sunday Post is a meme sponsored by the awesome Kimba at the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

May the 4th be with you! πŸ˜‰

Blog News:

So this has been a rather interesting week. A couple weeks ago I was contacted by bookdaily.com asking if it would be ok to post my Facebook rant on there website. I after talking it over with a friend, I figured what the heck why not. I sent the email saying yes you can use it as long as I was given credit for the post. I never heard anything back from them so I figured they must have actually read it and thought yay this chick can’t write, never mind πŸ˜‰ So on April 30th I got bombarded with emails and tweets about the post on book daily and thee feedback was so positive I was honestly blown away. I never thought anyone would even understand what I wrote let alone have it posted and get positive feedback. You can find the link HERE. So I thank Book Daily for contacting me and giving my lack of confidence the boost I think it needed. It really made me very proud of myself, which is very rare for me. If you ask me what I think of myself I don’t know what to say I have been rewriting my about me for 2 months now, It’s hard for me to compliment or say anything nice about myself. I’m just not good at it I guess. πŸ™‚

I also worked out the details of the return of my TBR list. I can’t wait to share it with you. I think it will be the 1st week of June when it comes back.

Other then that I had an awesome reading week. I am now going to get rid of my ARCs with the Clean Sweep ARC Challenge Hosted by with Wonderful Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer and the Wonderful Angela at Angela’s Anxious Life. I plan to kick ARC Butt this month πŸ™‚

ALSO I can’t say any details but COYER is going on summer vacation and I can’t wait to share all the details soon. I am so excited about it and it’s going to be so much fun.

Oh I totally forgot to post my Monthly Rewind…So it should be sometime this week πŸ™‚

I was such a bad girl…I went on Edelweiss and Harper Collins added new books and I downloaded some because I can, I just couldn’t help myself πŸ™‚

I also received With Every Breath by Valerie Chase for Review

What else is going on?

My MRI results have come back and I have sinusitis (no duh) I have to go see an Ear, Nose and Throat doctor on Thursday to see if they can help me relieve the pain in my head. Since no allergy meds really help me I am at least hoping they have something that will.

The rest of the week was very quiet and the week coming up is also going to be quiet at least at home, work is still very busy but I’m sure once Mother’s Day is over it might slow down enough for me to go back to my regular hours and hopefully allow me to take a day off. I really just need a break.

Tonight is a Wrestling PPV night, I am really looking forward to hanging with the kids cheering on our favorite wrestlers and guessing whom we think will win. It’s so much fun and I hope this is a memory the kids will always keep with them.

I am going to try to do a WIR & TSP next week but with Mother’s Day I’m not sure what we have planned it might be posted later in the day.

So tell me what have you been reading and up to this week?

Let’s Chat…

Hope you all have a fantastic week!!!

Happy Reading

  1. I apparently avoid Edelweiss like a drug. Then again, I’ve gone on the site lately to request an ARC for a blog tour so…

But I usually prefer Netgalley. I haven’t checked out your FB post, but I suppose I need to go check that out! And I totally get it. We have to pay just to promote our page – I’ve given up on my page and have resorted to Twitter mainly now. The page is pretty dead, and with my next Netgalley profile update I might just add that it’s pretty much dead.

I see you’re reading Boneseeker right now. I recently finished it and enjoyed it – hope you do too!

    • I have only been using Facebook for longer posts since twitter only allows so much and I have them linked.

I am actually liking Boneseeker. I just started but so far so good πŸ™‚

    • Thank you!
I just read about chronic rhinitis, no fun πŸ™ I am going to hopfully get it taken care of this week.

  2. This thing with facebook readers is really frustrating. I mean if someone is following you why the heck can’t they see your posts. Great post BTW.
Now, you go and kick ARC’s butts for me too, as I won’t be able to participate. I hope you’ll have a great time! πŸ™‚
    Great haul πŸ™‚

  3. Want me to write your About Me? LOL because I would have NO PROBLEM bragging about you πŸ˜‰ Seriously, congrats on that piece, not that I’m surprised (as I already told you, but I’ll say it again)!!

When are you going to the Ear, Nose and Throat Doctor? Hopefully they get things fixed for you – it’s miserable not feeling well and head pain is some of the worst. TTYL πŸ˜‰

    • LOL Thank you! Today was the explosive pain again, not fun and now the pain killer I took doesn’t seem to be working. I hope they can fix me too.

  4. Congrats on getting your post on Book Daily, that’s really cool :D. And you are an awesome blogger, so I am not surprised they choose one of your posts.

I am looking forward to see what the new TBR list feature will include and what you changed :).

Did you enjoy Full Steam Ahead? I remember you said something about the main character being a bit annoying, did that improve later on?

Let’s hope the Ear, Nose and Throat doctor can give you something against the pain. I hope I never need an MRI scan, those things look scary.

And I hope you have an awesome Mother’s Day :). Here in the Netherlands children usually make something for their mom’s at school and then gift it on mother’s day. is that normal in the US as well?

    • Thank you so much πŸ™‚ I am hoping to have all the TBR List details next week. I hope people participate.

Full Steam ahead was really cute and I actually liked it a lot. She was a bit annoying but I forgave her after she told her secret.

I don’t like closed in spaces so I kept my eyes closed the entire time, but I hope the ENT guy can help me.

My kids make stuff at school, I love the stuff they make, I prefer that over the bought stuff any day πŸ™‚

    • I have been wanting to read Ten but haven’t had the chance to read it yet. If I like Get Even might move up Ten to read soon. Thank you about the post πŸ™‚

  5. Jessica

Oh so envious of Get Even! I need to get in the habit of checking Edelweiss more! I put a request in but don’t feel too lucky since 98% of my requests get rejected. :/

Hope you enjoy all your new reads!

    Here’s my STS

    Have a GREAT weekend!

    • Edelweiss is hit or miss, Harper Collins approved me for their teen books and I still think it’s a mistake lol. I always get rejected on everything else. I just don’t know how to work the site that well. Thanks for stopping by Jessica! Hope you have a great week!!!
