On the blog:

It’s my blog’s birthday! 4 years old today….

I never thought I would be doing this for 4 years but I can’t even tell you how much blogging has changed my life. I am more confident in myself and have made some of the most amazing friends, EVER. I hope to be doing this for a VERY long time. Feel free to check out my first ever post…it is very painful to read ๐Ÿ™‚ ย Jan 29, 2013 ~ย Hi….I have a reading problem

Well I can’t say I am ahead because I am not but I seem to be about a week ahead each week, I would prefer to be 2 weeks but I honestly need to spend more time reading. Today I plan to finish up as much as I can and spend the rest of the week doing nothing but reading and then getting back to blogging for the weekend. My new blogging schedule has been working and it feels nice to have a mini break in the beginning of the week. I just need to get my reading schedule better, didn’t read as much as I wanted this month.

I have a newย post coming this week and next week will be introducing another new post. The second one I thought of yesterday, lol. I am looking forward to it, it will be a weekly feature. I have a few more I want to try out but I will wait a couple more weeks. I really want to get more book reviews up since that is what this blog is about. ๐Ÿ™‚

Berls had an idea and I made a logo. Check out our new challenge. Sign Up is open NOW!ย Click on image for all the details! ๐Ÿ™‚ย

In Real life:

This week was a roller coaster, it started out very good, ended with a Ryan melt down or two. We are still working on those changes so this is expected and he will be 12 in two weeks so the hormones might be causing him to be a little out of control. I know they can affect his meds so it might be a rough few more weeks or years…We will just have to wait and see…*fingers crossed* for weeks.

We celebrated my mom’s 70th birthday on Wednesday with a little party with family and her friends. It was a small gathering and a little surprise… it was fun. Otherwise I have nothing new to report and I am good with that. ๐Ÿ™‚

What I’m Watching:

Bones…I have a bunch of shows to watch on my watch list on Netflix but somehow always end up watching Bones. ๐Ÿ™‚ Once I am finished with the last two seasons of Bones on Netflix I am hoping to move on to something else…unless I binge watch Bones again. ๐Ÿ˜‰ ย Tonight is WWE Royal Rumble and I will be watching that, I hope with the kids since they tend to bail on us sometimes when we watch it, BUT we might have snacks, they always show up when we have snacks… lol

Last Week on the Blog:

What you might see this week:

  • Cover Characteristics ~ Wings
  • Task it Tuesday ~ Just keep blogging
  • NEW Monthly Book Report ย ~ Books read, grabbed, reviewed & reading next.
  • Monthly Rewind ~ Recapping the Month of Blogging and Real life
  • Oh No, Don’t have sex there! ~ Bookish Conversation
  • Review ~ King by TM Frazier
  • My TBR List, Let’s Vote ~ Feb

Books read & currently reading:

I was really hoping to like Truth or Beard and it seemed like it would be such a great read but the romance didn’t make sense to me and the story wasn’t progressing like easy. It seemed all over the place and I just couldn’t do it anymore.

  1. Happy blog birthday!!! I’ve been blogging (on and off) since 2006. Crazy, huh? I started on MySpace and moved over to a regular blog when MySpace started going down. I’ve never watched Bones. If it’s on Netflix, I should check it out!

  2. Happy blog birthday!!! And I’m glad your new schedule is working ๐Ÿ™‚ Plus new blog features?! I can’t wait to see what they are! I still have yet to figure out any unique features for my blog. I’m also looking forward to your conversation this week lol. I have some posts planned about strange sex-related things characters do too ๐Ÿ˜›

Sorry about the struggles with Ryan, but at least the birthday party was fun!

  3. I love the idea of your challenge. I’ve certainly binged on new authors when I’ve come across them and read EVERYTHING they’ve written. (That’s one of the best things about finding established authors with a looooong publishing history!)

  4. Happy blogaversary! Mine will be turning 4 this year too. It’s amazing how time flies by. I hope everything with Ryan works out. I’m tempted to sign up for your Author Love challenge but I’m worried I might not meet it lol. I do I have some authors I want to read more from so I’ll have to decide which one to focus on. I hope you have a good week!

  5. I teach sixth grade and see the hormone-med interaction all the time. I hope you guys are able to easily identify the right levels sooner rather than later. Sometimes it’s just an experiment to see what is right. I let my blogging anniversary come and go without realizing it. I guess I’ll do something big next year. We are twinsies – both four years. I didn’t know if I’d keep up with it, and now I can’t imagine life without all you guys and all these books!

  6. 4 years of blogging is super awesome. Congrats! And I am a big fan of rewatching series as well. There is something comforting about it, I think. Enjoy Royal Rumble. My husband used to be a big WWE fan but we haven’t watched in years. It was always entertaining though!
    Have a great week!

    • Thank you! YES, Comforting is exactly what I think it is. All the mess in this world and I totally need something that I find funny but interesting to keep my head clear of the mess.
We used to be even bigger WWE fans but it’s getting annoying with all the changes they made but we still watch it ๐Ÿ™‚

  8. You know I don’t think I have celebrated a blogoversary in a really long time. I am not even sure when I started except it was a long time ago….lol. I for one am glad you have stuck around and plan to stay around! ๐Ÿ™‚

We are not having a good go of it with books this month it seems. I am almost afraid to start a new one…lol. Hope you are enjoying your new one you started. The Evil Librarian book looks interesting. ๐Ÿ™‚

    Happy reading!!

    Have a great week!!!

  9. Happy Blogoversary!! *toots party horn, throws confetti, grabs Dyson, sweeps up confetti, eats cake*

You’ve got the blogging mojo going so the reading will fall in line. Don’t worry. I love Bones! I should start over, but I don’t watch tv much and when I do, I already started the X-Files. So…*sigh*

I hope you have a fantabulous week, Michelle! XOXO

    • Lol Thank you!

I think it will just need to read a little bit more to catch up.
I love bones too, I did start over but I really wanted to watch season 9, 10 & 11 so I am ready for the final season. I’m working on 10 now. My husband is a fan of the x-files. He also has been binge watching Macgyver. He loves that show.

Sorry to hear about Ryan his melt downs, I hope things get better soon. And happy birthday to your mom!

Sorry to hear you had a DNF this week :(. I hope next week is a good one!

    • I might actually do that once I am finished with the book I am currently reading because I need a buffer, and novellas are perfect for that ๐Ÿ™‚

It will take time but we are working on it. He just needs to listen a little and trust us for kids like him that is the hardest part plus he needs to remember how old he is am I am his parent! ๐Ÿ™‚
      Thanks Lola!
