WIR vectorstock_43821-1-1Week in READ-view is a post I have posted on Sundays telling you what I have been up to this week and what I read or am reading. The Sunday Post is a meme sponsored by the awesome Kimba at the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Real Life & Blog News:

So mother nature dumped another 6 inches on our heads this week and then it turned bitter cold which made everything ice. Seriously I love winter but not this winter….SPRING!!! WHERE ARE YOU!!!!

Other than the stupid snow it’s been a normal week, my sinus/allergies have come back so I haven’t been feeling very well and now that COYER is over I am hoping to take a little blogger break next week to just catch up with a few things I feel like I have let slide but I’ll be back in Sunday so you wont have time to miss me. Just want to spend the week reading and writing reviews. Sometimes I think we could all use a break, as much fun as blogging is, it is a lot of work.

I am a HUGE fan of Once Upon a Time (TV Show) and I never get to watch it like I would like since the kids are always in my ear. Well I figure it’s about time to start catching up and WOW was I behind. I thought I was at least 4 episodes in but apparently I only watched 1…Yes 1. So this weekend I am doing a marathon and hoping to get most of them finished to I can start watching every week like everyone else. Thank god so far I have been able to avoid spoilers. So fingers crossed I can finish them all. Since I love a good fairytale retelling this is one of my all time FAVORITE series….I might have just came up with a Top Ten idea πŸ™‚

Saturday was My T0-Be Read List – Vote for March HERE, If you have a moment can you please stop by and vote on what book I will read this month and if you have time, stop by the other blogs on the linky! Thank you so much in advance, your vote is GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!

    • He’s creepy but yes he is super lovable, he loves to cuddle with his mommy, even if it’s awkward and uncomfortable in a space invader sort of way πŸ™‚

  1. Many sympathies for the sinuses and allergies. My hayfever runs from Feb-Oct and even on allergy pills I spend a lot of the time as a bleary-eyed mess.
I must also do a a marathon of OUAT as I’ve only got to season 1. It’s not as huge here in the UK, so I have to wait for Netflix to catch up, and then find the time to binge watch.

    Have a great week xx

  2. I also like Once Upon a Time and I’m also behind on the shows and need to catch up.
Hope the weather warms up for you and you’re able to catch up on all those things that you’ve let slide.
    Have a good week!

  3. It’s nice to hear your winter might finally be coming to an end. It’s been a tough year for everyone. Have fun relaxing and catching up on your show. And Dexter, your shadow, is adorable. My dog is black and 100 lbs. and does that too. I almost trip over him every time I turn around. It’s funny. He’ll be sound asleep on the couch and I’ll try to sneak off to use the bathroom or something. I’ll turn around and there he stands. LOL

  4. The weather here in California has been weird. One moment it is raining and then it gets warm. I just wish it would make up it’s mine (although we do need the rain). Blogging is a lot of work and I’ll also need to be a little quiet this week on social media. I have 2 reviews to write up and I hate to be this behind. Your dog is adorable and sounds like mine. For some reason she only goes to me when she is hungry because she knows I’ll give her a snack lol. I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on Lois Lane! I want to read that so I hope you are enjoying it. Have a great week!

  5. Spring arrived in Geneva this weekend, and while I love the warmer weather, the sun and the green, I kind of hate my pollen allergies πŸ™ I’ve been sneezing thousands of times but I can’t make myself be upset about it – we can see the sun!!
I hope you’ll have a good blogging break! I love Once Upon a Time, too, but I’m probably a lot more behind than you are – I’ve only watched the first two seasons. It’s one of the many shows I’m watching with my oldest daughter. We’re both really excited about Orphan Black starting again pretty soon…
You got some great-looking books this week, I hope you’ll enjoy all of them, Michelle.
Have a fantastic week, and happy reading *hugs*

    • Yes the allergies will be returning soon and it always affects my son the worst but we are prepared with eye meds and allergy meds. Just hoping he doesn’t get Asthma from the allergies again.

I love Captain hook! Have you seen him yet? When you do I bet you get dreamy eyes. I have dreamy eyes for him. His accent makes me sigh. I love him πŸ™‚

        • Even my 7 year old was drooling. That little but of chest hair the peeks out is…sigh I’m not even sure I can for words. Look up Christine Perri and her song The Words. He’s in the video and good lord he’s amazing to look at πŸ™‚

  6. See that is why I so couldn’t live up north..I know this was a weird winter and you guys got way more snow than normal but still it’s to much for me..lol. We never got over 8 inches at one time here and I was so over winter..lol. I hate snow..can handle the cold but no snow or ice or any type of wintery nasty junk. πŸ™‚

Well at least since you didn’t feel good you didn’t go on a spree like me. πŸ˜‰

    • It’s going to be really nice here the next two weeks so I am looking forward to the open windows and kids outside. This winter was no fun at all, usually I don’t complain but it was bitter cold, I am looking forward to spring just not summer.

  7. Thanks Samantha, I always try to get ahead, I am happy bloggiesta is this month that always gets me moving and with the break I should be freshed in no time πŸ™‚ Warmer weather would be wonderful I think we should be in the 40s this week, I just hope it stays that way, would love to start walking again!

  8. I’ve been hoping to get a weeks worth of posts written so that I can take a week or two off as well. It sure would be nice to ahead but it seems like I never am! We are impatiently waiting for spring to come as well. The temps this week are supposed to be much warmer so I have hope! I hope that you enjoy your blogging break and get a few great books read!

  9. Oh, so sorry about all that snow…and now I feel guilty about my photo of the blossoms on my street…LOL. But I\’m paying for it with the allergies and painful sinuses. Yes, the downside of spring for me.Enjoy your catching up time…and happy reading!

My updates are on my Rainy Days and Mondays blog…your blog won’t allow my URLs, for some reason. LOL

  10. It is a show you somewhat have to pay attention to but it’s just amazing. I am itching to watch the series over again. Maybe in the summer I will, I would bet I missed a bunch of stuff the first time.
I also love the cooler weather but not looking forward to summer at all. I can easily do without it πŸ™‚ but after this extreme cold a hot day here or there might not be that bad.

  11. I’m so done with snow and ice! It doesn’t have to be summer yet because I do love sweaters and boots but 50s would be lovely. I’ve been wanting to start watching Once Upon a Time. I’m almost done with Friends on Netflix and need a new show so I was starting that one. I’m a little worried it’ll be to detailed for me to watch while I’m doing other things but somehow I’ll fight through it! Stay warm and have a great week!

  12. WE still have snow but only got 3″ last week. Then it went up to 40 for a few hours and I took the chance to get outside, burn some calories and get some snow off the driveway. But I am seriously sick of winter; this is the worst one since I have lived here in Maine. I do believe we’re out of the heavy snow weather pattern now.
Lots of us seem to be saying this today!

  13. Spring is here! I’ll try to sent some of this nice warm weather to you. Our window is open and we hear birds outside and some ducks.
Or how about top ten fairytales, that would be a nice topic for a tens list as well. I amnot a big fan of fairytale retellings, but I heard lots of god thigns about that show, I hope you can catch up!
    Dexter is such a cutie!

    • Well I am moving closer to you because it is not here πŸ™‚ I usually don’t mind the winter but this has been so bitter cold I for so long that I think I have had enough this year and need to move on. I look forward to spring but I am not a fan of summer at all and actually dread it.

      Michelle recently posted: #COYER Update | And that's a wrap! :(
  14. We got snow again too – just two inches and it only stuck for a morning, but STILL! Winter needs to go away already.

Enjoy your break my friend – I’m with you, sometimes we just need a break (I’ll be taking one for a while). But talk soon πŸ™‚

  15. Dexter is so cute !!! Oh yes, blogging is a lot of work, that’s why when I go on vacation like I did last week, I never try to catch up on what I missed (=358 posts not read on Bloglovin). I’m sorry about the snow, it froze here this morning (again…) but the days are definitely feeling springier. Keep warm and have a great week πŸ˜‰

    • Thank you!
I try to visit and catch up as much as I can but some days it just doesn’t happen. That’s why I like the sunday post it lets me see everything I missed and visit a bunch of blogs/friends.
It really does feel springier πŸ™‚

      Thanks for stopping by!

    • I long to open the windows, even though I open them in the winter too, my family hates it πŸ™‚ I like cool or cold. It would be nice to have a 60s day and open the windows.
Thank you Dexter seems to be a popular name for dogs, I know someone else with a dog named Dexter πŸ™‚
      Thanks for stopping by Kimba!

  16. Bea

Ugh, 6 inches? That’s too much. We still have about 3 feet on the ground and I am ready for it to disappear!

I enjoy OUAT too. Even when it’s bad, it’s interesting, and I enjoy how the writers work in an array of fairy tales and myths.

Hopefully you can catch up this week and maybe your snow will start melting.

    • The 6 inches is on top of all the other snow we got in the last couple of weeks so I have mounds of snow in my backyard. When it melts we are going to need a canoe.

YES! that’s why I love it so much, the way the mix everything together to make the characters know each other blows me away.
