You'd think being abducted by aliens would be the worst thing that could happen to me. And you'd be wrong. Because now, the aliens are having ship trouble, and they've left their cargo of human women - including me - on an ice planet.
And the only native inhabitant I've met? He's big, horned, blue, and really, really has a thing for me...

This edition is the COMPLETE story of ICE PLANET BARBARIANS.
My top thoughts:
I’ve read Ruby Dixon before, so I was excited to jump into this series finally. And I was not disappointed at all. This series is going to be book crack, seriously. I’m already addicted and cannot wait to read the rest. So glad I have them. I don’t think it will take me long to finish all 20 books.
What I liked/didn’t like:
Look, I know. I didn’t think alien romance was my thing either. Who wants to fantasize about a blue lover, with horns and a tale? LOL! I know!! But seriously, Ruby Dixon writes her alien heroes so amazingly, you fall in love with them and it’s not even despite their alienness, it’s FOR it. And if you like a bit of steam in your romance, these will not let you down. I’d classify them as soft alien erotica. (Is that a genre?)
But beyond the “soft alien erotica” there is a very definite plot – along with character development. Georgie – along with several other girls – was abducted by aliens in her sleep. And she emerges as a leader in that horrific situation. I loved watching the way she grew into that role as a leader for these girls who are in a desperate situation. They end up abandoned on a freezing cold planet and Georgie encounters Vektal. Vektal is FANTASTIC. I’m so glad Ruby Dixon decided to give us his POV because it added so much hilarity to the story. His trying to understand Georgie was often pretty comical (although Georgie’s trying to understand him is also pretty comical) but also so incredibly tender. I easily fell in love with him.
It’s a race against time, the elements, all while trying to find a way to communicate – oh and also falling in love! Such a fantastic story. I’m suspecting that at least a few of the 19 other books will focus on the other women that Georgie was captured with and I’m so excited for their stories.
Narrator thoughts:
These narrators were just as great as the book – and they possibly even enhanced it. I’ve listened to Holli Jackson before, so that was an easy voice to fall into. She was a great voice for Georgie – she captured the stress and the humor equally well. Mason Lloyd was new for me, but OMG I will definitely listen to him again. He ABSOULETLY enhanced this story. The way he would voice Georgie saying things that Vektal didn’t understand was hilarious. He said it was the same intonation I imagine she would have been speaking, but there was this quality that showed his like of understanding. Of course, Dixon also wrote him commenting on the confusion, but it just went so well together. I’m so glad I’m listening to these!

A blue lover with horns and a tail? Sounds great to me. LOL
I love alien romance for some reason. Maybe it’s the things they can do with their tails sometime? Who knew that was my thing? lol This sounds good.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I have some of her books as freebies and I definitely intend to read this author. Fantastic review! It’s good to know you enjoyed it.
