Happy Christmas Eve! ~ WIR & SP

Posted December 24, 2017 by Michelle in The Sunday Post, Uncategorized, WIReadview / 9 Comments

So last week I said I wasn’t going to do a post today but I TOTALLY LIED! I couldn’t not post, after this week. I needed to let you all know….

READING SLUMP IS OFFICIALLY OVER!

I am in such a mood to read it’s crazy, I haven’t felt like this in a long while. I actually read 4 books this week. They are MG books and really short but I think maybe that was what broke it and gave me that I want to read feeling again. I have 3 chapter book series that I want to continue so I might be ordering those books to keep in case another slump comes knocking at my door.

Also, I have NO MORE BOOKs ON MY NETGALLEY SHELF! I am at 100%!!! WHAT!!!!

As far as my goal for goodreads, I might be 2 books short unless I can grab a few more Chapter Books to get me to 70 but I am looking forward to setting next years goal pretty high. I want 2018 to be my year of reading all the books! ๐Ÿ˜‰

This week was crazy, we had two packages stolen from our front porch, they aren’t suppose to put boxed on our front porch but UPS didn’t feel like going in the back of the house I guess. One of the packages, I called Target, and they are going to replace it for me and the other I am waiting on UPS but I plan to call that store also. On Thursday, I had gone out to re-purchase the stuff that was stolen but the one gift from Target I can just give my son after Christmas so it’s not a big deal. I spent all day on Thursday on the phone and with the local police. I will now be sending all packages to my husbands work and anything I don’t want him to know about to my work. ๐Ÿ˜‰ lol

Here is what I read this week…

I will try to stop by your posts to visit today but I have a lot of food to cook today to prepare for tomorrow so if I don’t get the chance to stop by today I will during the week!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

  1. Yay for the reading slump being over! And I totally don’t believe you about your NetGalley ratio. I refuse to believe that’s possible! That sucks big time about the packages being stolen but I’m glad to hear Target was willing to replace it. We’ve had a few reports around here of that kind of thing and I just hope karma gets those people good! I hope you had a very Merry Christmas Michelle!

  2. Merry Christmas!!! And glad the slump is over (yayy)! S0rry to hear about the thefts though- that totally sucks. I hope you have a fabulous holiday though with your family. ๐Ÿ™‚

Congrats on the NG 100% too!!

  3. Congrats for your 100% on NetGalley!!! That’s fantastic!! I can’t believe your package was stolen – and a second time! That might be a good rule of thumb in the future. I hope everything works out with the second store. Merry Christmas!

  5. I love short novellas and such for breaking a reading slump! Plus, they make me feel so accomplished as a reader-I can read like 4 a day!! So sorry some jerk stole your packages! Thats awful!!
I can’t imagine 100% on netgalley! I seem to be forever at around 92%!
Have a wonderful Christmas and happy new year!

  6. Yay! That’s awesome your slump is over. Sometimes reading some shorter reads can really help when you’re in a reading slump.

That’s awesome you have no more unread books on your Netgalley shelf. I hover around the 70%, which is great for me. But I would like to get it even higher next year.

That’s nice you might still reach your Goodreads goal :).

That’s annoying your packages got stolen from your front porch. I hope you can get everything replaced. But that’s annoying it happened in the first place.

Merry Christmas and have a great week!
