All the News:

This week we will finally have the fresh start we wanted as a family and I am so happy about it. It’s taken 7 years to get to this point and I plan to make sure never to make the same mistakes again. I am excited and it feel like this change will be the start of something amazing. I am sure we will have bumps in the road but I am excited for this fresh start.

Big changes to the blog? Maybe New Design, fun posts even a few posts together, 2019 is going to be an exciting year for Because Reading!

I hope all my friends down south are safe and also in Boston with those crazy gas explosions. The weather here has been so sad with no sun. It rained on and off and was super muggy. Seriously longing for the fall weather that I am hoping will arrive this next week but first we get a little bit of Florence before she goes back out to sea.

I finished Small Spaces and have a blog tour review for it Sept 28th. I was very surprised with how much I loved the story and characters that it just so happens to be my SECOND five star review this year. YAY! I am still working on Illuninae, I don’t hate it at all, I find it very interesting but I am still feeling the lack of character connection. Hoping by the time this post goes live I will have read a good chunk of it. I will return to Strength as soon as I am finished with that one. Got two books this week from my book boxes and have one more that should be here on Monday. I wanted to get a few book with gift cards I have but I want to wait to make sure none of the books are in the next book box. Plus 3 of the books I originally wanted aren’t even out yet, I never would have gotten the ARCs anyway but waiting for release day is so hard! ๐Ÿ˜‰

My daughter will be cheering at her first game today so I wont be able to visit until later today or tomorrow. Almost caught up with my design stuff and will be spend a lot of time this week and next, making Premade Covers. Since I stopped doing that because I was so busy. I am excited to get back into it. Lots of competition out there but I am good at what I do and I am sure I will find people that will love my work as much as I do.

  1. That sounds exciting that you’re having a fresh start. I am looking forward to see what you have planned for your blog :). Yay for your second five star review of the year!

  2. I am glad things are looking better for you and your family!

I liked Illuminae but yeah not much connection to characters and there are a lot of them, but it was really fun on audio mostly because of the sound effects…lol. Gemina was okay to but kind of the same things as lots of stuff was going on.

    Have a great week!

  3. Glad for your fresh start- good for you! And Illuminae was one I liked but I didn’t LOVE it- I had some character issues too a little bit. A lot of people loved AIDAN and I wasn’t a super big fan. I much preferred Gemina because the characters were more interesting to me than Kady and Ezra, and the space station setting was WAY more exciting to me, but that’s just me. I hope it picks up for you.

    • I am only 100 pages in so I didn’t get to that part yet. I like the layout of the book but I feel like the story is all over the place and I am starting to forget details and have to go back because names just pop up and I have no idea who they are. I have a feeling I am also going to like it but not love it ๐Ÿ™‚
