HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
*Throws Confetti*
This week I had off and it was SOOOOO Nice, I tried to do a few things but I spend a lot of it just relaxing and focusing on self care mentally. I felt awesome, it was so refreshing to spend time doing my own thing. I didn’t really read or play games like I wanted but I did lump around and that was totally on my list of things to do.
We had a very quiet new year with the same people we spend Christmas with. It was a great night but OMG I ordered food and I have never been so happy with the food we eat. Like I was so excited that I plan to order this food every year. I love Chinese and Portuguese. I was so full when we were finished…we had Sweet and Sour Chicken, Fried Medium Shrimp, BBQ Spare Ribs, Cheese Wontons, Fried Wontons, Dumplings, Chicken Fried Rice, Chinese Vegetable, Portuguese Spare Ribs and Chicken with French Fries, Yellow Rice and Steamed Vegetables. My mouth is watering again, it was all so good. I also watched the Twilight Zone Marathon on SyFy which is one of my favorite things about New Years and it reminds me of my dad, we would talk about it all the time.
I did a few blogging things and continued to set up my planner for the new year, I plan to do some more stuff today and just enjoy my last day before I go back to work on Monday and back to my daughters Cheer.
New Year and NEW TBR List…If you have a chance please stop by and vote on what book I should read this month. I also make a new logo and it’s so cute! I love it! 🙂 Click on the logo to take you to the post.

That food looks amazing! We always cook up a load of party food on NYE and pick throughout the evening (and we did this year too) but I like the idea of ordering a takeaway feast instead! 🙂
Glad you enjoyed the holidays. And all that food looks amazing! And way to keep it stress-free with the take-out. 🙂
It sounds like you had a lovely week off! All of that food looks amazing! We have yet to find a good Chinese place here. 😞 Once it’s saved to do so we’re going to try and find a new place.
I hope this week gets better for you! Hugs!!
Can you be in charge of my New Year’s Eve menu next year? Your food looks absolutely amazing! I was the only one here who stayed awake all the way to midnight but I woke the others up a few minutes beforehand so we were all together (if a bit groggy) when midnight hit. Hope you’re having a good week.
Your holiday sounds much like mine. I did have to work a couple of days this past week, but the rest of the time was mostly watching movies or TV with my family. I had wanted to get out a bit just for some sun, but I guess it wasn’t in the cards. I did get some work done on my blog, prepping some posts and blog visiting and answering comments.
It sounds like you had feast of a celebration for the New Year. Never a bad thing. 🙂
I hope you have a great new year, Michelle. Take care.
Unfortunatly we are super slow at work and I think taking the time was a good idea other wise it was just one more person sitting around doing nothing.
I am planning to do that this week. I started the prep and nowI just need to get moving and do what i need to do! lol
Happy NY! Oh my gosh your food looks amazing! I’m coming over next time haha. Seriously though, yum! I love Chinese food so much.
Your Twilight Zone marathon sounds awesome too. Be well this week Michelle!!!
You are always welcome! 🙂
It was so good and I love SyFy marathons of Twilight Zone. I might be binge watching it again soon
Slumping around sounds absolutely perfect! I did absolutely nothing for New Year – I was asleep around 10:30 I think. Your feast looks yummy though. Happy New year 🙂
Lumping not Slumping, I don’t slump, I lump lol.
We had a nice night and it was great to have nothing to do but relax until tomorrow. I really need to do this every year.
I’m so glad you had a nice week off where you were able to relax. I think that’s probably more important than getting stuff done. Happy New Year!
Anne – Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
Exactly, I really enjoyed the time off, plan to do that again this year.
Sounds like a fun- and delicious- New Year’s. Glad the week off was wonderful.
Have a good week, Michelle!
It was great, I need to remember to do it this year too.
LOVE the new logo for your TBR list. Super cute! My husband loves Chinese but because I have celiac’s I can’t eat it. We didn’t do anything for new years. My husband was asleep by 9! I was up later because the fireworks scared the dogs! Sigh.
Happy New Year!
Thank you! My husband was so ready for bed but he stayed awake, I think we just needed to see 2020 go away lol
I love that picture with the cats, it’s cute and funny 🙂 Wow, that was a lot of food ! I’m glad you enjoyed new year’s eve this much, we had a quiet evening too – with less food ^^ Happy new year Michelle !
Thank you! I have been wanting to make over my feature for a long time and it came out better than I expected 🙂
We had 7 people but totally more food than we could eat, made for yummy leftovers.
I am glad to hear you had such a good week! And that you had a week off and could relax a bit, definitely sounds like you needed that. That food you ordered for New Year’s sounds good, it’s always nice when you find a place to order from that has great food.
Your new TBR list logo looks awesome! It’s so cute!
Happy new year!
I really did need it, 2020 kicked my butt so I am so glad it is behind us, it was nice to have the week to do what I needed to do and also relax.
The food was so good, I did order more than the 7 of us could eat but that made for some yummy leftovers the next day.
Thank you! I have been wanting to make over the logo for so long and I am so happy I did. It came out so cute and I added three cats for my three.
That food looked soooo freaking good! We always do finger foods and appetizers, which while tasty, do not compare to that spread! Wow.
We used to do appetizers and this was all finger foods, I did buy more then my stomach could eat but there was 7 of us and we all made a good dent in it with extra for the a nice meal the next day.
Wow, that is a lot of food! It all sounds great too! I have never had Portuguese food but I love Chinese! Happy New Year my friend!
Have a great week and happy reading!

All the more reason for you to come and visit! 🙂 Jersey Pizza, Portuguese Food and I can make a sweet pie and Sunday Gravy! lol
That’s quite the feast!
Lumping around is a perfectly valid activity:)
Wishing you a great reading week, and a happy new year
I tend to forget we are only 7 people but we all enjoyed it and we had enough to enjoy the next day too.
Lumping around should be on everyones vacation list. Sometimes, it’s nice to be lumpy. 🙂
Glad you had a nice New Years! Ours was quiet. We stayed home. Went to bed at New York Midnight…lol. We’re not much for partying.
Nice that your TBR pile got a break for this week. Hope you enjoy your reading this week!
Here’s my StS
Have a GREAT day!
