Week in READview:

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

*Throws Confetti*

This week I had off and it was SOOOOO Nice, I tried to do a few things but I spend a lot of it just relaxing and focusing on self care mentally.  I felt awesome, it was so refreshing to spend time doing my own thing. I didn’t really read or play games like I wanted but I did lump around and that was totally on my list of things to do.

We had a very quiet new year with the same people we spend Christmas with. It was a great night but OMG I ordered food and I have never been so happy with the food we eat. Like I was so excited that I plan to order this food every year. I love Chinese and Portuguese. I was so full when we were finished…we had Sweet and Sour Chicken, Fried Medium Shrimp, BBQ Spare Ribs, Cheese Wontons, Fried Wontons, Dumplings, Chicken Fried Rice, Chinese Vegetable, Portuguese Spare Ribs and Chicken with French Fries, Yellow Rice and Steamed Vegetables. My mouth is watering again, it was all so good. I also watched the Twilight Zone Marathon on SyFy which is one of my favorite things about New Years and it reminds me of my dad, we would talk about it all the time.

I did a few blogging things and continued to set up my planner for the new year, I plan to do some more stuff today and just enjoy my last day before I go back to work on Monday and back to my daughters Cheer.

New Year and NEW TBR List…If you have a chance please stop by and vote on what book I should read this month. I also make a new logo and it’s so cute! I love it! 🙂 Click on the logo to take you to the post.

  1. Can you be in charge of my New Year’s Eve menu next year? Your food looks absolutely amazing! I was the only one here who stayed awake all the way to midnight but I woke the others up a few minutes beforehand so we were all together (if a bit groggy) when midnight hit. Hope you’re having a good week.

  2. Your holiday sounds much like mine. I did have to work a couple of days this past week, but the rest of the time was mostly watching movies or TV with my family. I had wanted to get out a bit just for some sun, but I guess it wasn’t in the cards. I did get some work done on my blog, prepping some posts and blog visiting and answering comments.

It sounds like you had feast of a celebration for the New Year. Never a bad thing. 🙂

I hope you have a great new year, Michelle. Take care.

  3. Happy NY! Oh my gosh your food looks amazing! I’m coming over next time haha. Seriously though, yum! I love Chinese food so much.

Your Twilight Zone marathon sounds awesome too. Be well this week Michelle!!!

  4. LOVE the new logo for your TBR list. Super cute! My husband loves Chinese but because I have celiac’s I can’t eat it. We didn’t do anything for new years. My husband was asleep by 9! I was up later because the fireworks scared the dogs! Sigh.
    Happy New Year!

I love that picture with the cats, it’s cute and funny 🙂 Wow, that was a lot of food ! I’m glad you enjoyed new year’s eve this much, we had a quiet evening too – with less food ^^ Happy new year Michelle !

  6. I am glad to hear you had such a good week! And that you had a week off and could relax a bit, definitely sounds like you needed that. That food you ordered for New Year’s sounds good, it’s always nice when you find a place to order from that has great food.

Your new TBR list logo looks awesome! It’s so cute!

    Happy new year!

    • I really did need it, 2020 kicked my butt so I am so glad it is behind us, it was nice to have the week to do what I needed to do and also relax.
The food was so good, I did order more than the 7 of us could eat but that made for some yummy leftovers the next day.

Thank you! I have been wanting to make over the logo for so long and I am so happy I did. It came out so cute and I added three cats for my three.
