Week in READview:

On & Off the Blog:

For the last 6 months I have been trying to figure out what I wanted to do next and where I fit in. I know what I don’t want to do and that is returning to my old job or how I used to be. I want to move forward, I was given this chance and I don’t want to waste it. This week I started on-line classes to learn new things and advance my skills. After completing my first week and getting 100% on both of my tests. I am finally feeling so confident in my ability and have a better sense of what I can accomplish. I am finding my self worth again and realize that I am worth it and capable. My anxiety still gets the better of me on some days and I now know those days are me days. So I take a step back and do things I enjoy because I deserve to be happy and it helps my anxiety. It has been a very long time since I have felt this way. The future might have a few bumps every now and then but I think I have a better handle on how to manage it. I am so excited to see what is to come…good or bad… I am ready!

On Thursday this week, I took my son to an Endocrinologist to get his thyroid checked, the doctor wasn’t concerned but was more concerned with his weight (as I am) and he has very low levels of Vitamin B. So the doctor gave him supplements and I think we will be seeing a nutritionist soon to help get his weight under control if I can’t by September.

My co-worker/friend came over this week and we had a great visit. She is the only thing I really miss about working. I agreed that I would help them out if they needed me but I wont go in the office and I will not be coming back but if doing some work helps her not be overwhelmed I will be happy to help. I haven’t heard anything since then but it wasn’t in my plan anyway so if it doesn’t happen it really has no effect on what I am planning to do.

This week coming up is going to be one hell of a week. I have to finish my week 2 classes on Monday so I have the week to do my project for the week 2 course….PLUS…My son starts work on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 12 to 2:30 BUT on Wednesday and Thursday my daughter has cheer from 2 to 5 for Choreography. The driving back and forth is going to be hell because both places are 25 minutes away. My sons job will be two weeks from 12 to 2:30 and then in August will be 9 to 1. I am very excited for him and hope he enjoys it. He will be working in his school and he will have a shadow with him. I think this is a great opportunity for him and will get him out of the house around people which he has been craving for the last 6 months.

The weather has been crazy hot and the last two days we have had wicked Thunderstorms. We are suppose to get them again today. Next week looks a bit better in the upper 80s and no rain but who knows that can always change.

Read & Currently Reading:

Sea of Ruin was SOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD! It is one of my favorite books this year. I am no on the hunt for more books like it.

Lady of Rooksgrave Manor is interesting and I keep hearing stuff about it on Tiktok so I figured I would give it a try.

  1. This week sounds amazing! And I’m so glad your kids have some great plans for the next few months. My mother was happy for me to get my license so she and my brother (younger) could just stay home. The weather is just not cooperating. It’s been hot here. We need some rain and finally might get some the next 2 days.

  2. Ordering a book along with your ice cube tray LOL — all of us book lovers will totally relate! Good luck to your son with his job. And I’m so glad your classes are going well! You are worth investing time on yourself and your skills.

Have a great week! I hope the weather is better as predicted, and you love everything you read.

  3. Glad you’re doing well with the online courses! And yay for 100%s!! Hope you can find something you want to do soon!

Nice new reads too! Funny how us book people always end up buying a book when we shop for the most mundane thing! Lol! Hope you enjoy the new reads!
