Reading:
June was a good book month but with my break at the beginning of July I took a break from reading too. The last few days I have been listening to an audiobook while I play the Sims, it’s actually rather fun. I am also finding time to read in the morning, especially on my days off, otherwise I am still trying to spend at least an hour before bed reading. It’s the middle of the day that seem to be hard to find time but that is why I decided to grab the audio book. 🙂
I was doing great last month and was loving Madison Fayes books, I had plans to read a few of her books this month as well but for some reason Amazon pulled all her books. She is trying to work it all out but they are giving her the run around. I heard Alexa Riley also got her books pulled. I might be going through withdrawals since I was really enjoying all Madison books.

Needed to put When the Sky fell on Splendor on hold to finish Oddmire, I forgot I had a tour review for it in two weeks, so I need to get it finished. It’s really cute so far.
What I grabbed:
Super excited to get my wish granted for this book

Real life & Blogging:
So as you can tell I haven’t been blogging a lot. I have been super busy at work and by the time I come home I just crash with a glass of wine, audio book and some sims playing. I think for now the summer will be hit or miss. I always feel September is the start of something NEW (not sure why that is) So I will be back 100% in September. For now I will be reading and doing about 50% on the blog. I will visit when I can but right now, I’m just going to take things slow but I have started planning for the last 4 months of the year so I am not stopping just cutting back until September. Can you believe we only have 5 months left of this year, this year needs to SLOW the F DONE!
Real life has been crazy, we got a mad rush of jobs at work and while I am loving how busy it is, it is exhausting. We have cut back the amount of time we go to the shore to save up some money and I am liking the weekends home to relax and enjoy the family. I am hoping to start spending Saturday nights having a movie night with the family. It’s just so hard when one is chatting with her friend on the phone and playing Roblox and the other is playing Fortnite but I am going to try and make them stop for at least 2 hours a week to hang with us, parents. We aren’t that bad. lol
The apartment is finished and my dad did a great job fixing it up, it cost him a lot of money and I feel so bad that the last person left it so awful. My dad might take her to court because if it was $1000 that wouldn’t be so bad but it cost $5000 to fix. The new people moved in 4th of July weekend and so far they are super quiet, we barely see them and that is perfect for me. As long as they keep it clean and pay the rent, I am good. 🙂
What I am watching:
While the kids were away for the week of the 4th, my husband and I watched The house with the clock in the walls. I thought it was really cute. I never read the books but I sort of wished instead of a movie they would have made it a series. I feel like it had so much more to tell.
I haven’t been binge watching anything but Bones. I just can’t seem to find the time to settle down and watch something. I always need to be doing something but I am hoping that I might be able to get back into watch Gotham while I play sims. 🙂
What I am playing:
You will never guess what I have been playing lol. I knew I would get sucked in again but I am totally cool with it since I LOVE building house and so far would LOVE to live in all the houses I created. The most recent has a kitchen that I am so in love with. My daughter and I decided to take the one empty world and build it from scratch. Making all the places to visit and all the houses. Once it’s all complete I will play in the world, I can’t wait but good gravy it takes me so long to make just one lot. I am also currently working on a girl and going to try to take her from Young Adult to old age. I am trying to hook her up with one of the 3 guys I created but they are being so difficult. My girl is adorable what is wrong with them!!!
Just for Fun:
My just for fun is a picture of the current house my girl lives in, I want that kitchen….
(if you click on the pictures they will get bigger.)

So tell me what have you been reading and up to this week?
Hope you all have a fantastic week!!!
Happy Reading

Sounds like you’re having a good summer. You know how kids can be but yes, definitely make the “do” family time. They will miss it someday. I really want to read “The Sky Fell on Splendor.” Are you liking it even though you had to put it on hold? I never got into SIMS but know if I did, it would be a major time suck! I am very curious about SIMS Pets though.
I really recommend instituting something like movie night if you can. When my kids were younger we had family movie nights every Friday, but their tastes are so varied now they are all teens it’s rare we find something more than one or two of them are willing to watch.
Have a great reading week, and happy Simming.
I’ve never played the Sims. 🙁 Sounds like a blast though! And The Girl The Sea Gave Back looks awesome- can’t wait to read that.
Movie nights are fun. 🙂 Good luck wrangling the kids haha- that’s the hardest part!
Love those SIMS pics.
I hope you enjoy your current read. The cover for The Girl the Sea Gave Back is just gorgeous. Happy reading!
I’m so upset about Amazon pulling Alexa Riley! I hadn’t read Madison Faye, but I couldn’t believe it happened to both of them. Ugh! hopefully pulling back on blogging helps you relax a bit! I know it can be stressful!
Nice new read! Been seeing a lot of buzz over Young’s new book! I hope you enjoy it too!
Here’s my StS
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
I loved her other book Sky in the Deep, I thought it was just outstanding. I am so excited about this one. 🙂
Now if you could just build me a house like that one in Sims…lol. I am glad you are liking Oddmire I thought it was cute too!
Have a great week! ox

I need to show you the new one I just build, I want to live in that one too!!! lol
I am hoping to finish it before the weekend was over but I have a few things to do today so I am pushing for me to be finished on Monday. Need to make a better reading plan. lol
An Ember In The Ashes looks awesome! That cover is gorgeous! I’m also excited for The Girl The Sea Gave Back.
I hate it when Amazon randomly pulls books then won’t explain itself. WTF?
I’ve been running out of blogging steam lately too… I wonder if it’s just a summer thing? Everything is so hot and so busy. I’m super excited for autumn and the run up to Christmas but can’t believe how quickly this year has gone!
I can’t wait to read it, it has been on my shelf for a while calling my name.
The Girl the Sea Gave Back is from one of my fav authors so I can’t wait to read it.
I feel so bad for the author, she didn’t deserve to have them pulled, I have so many of her books to still read, I hope they can fix it out at least she puts them up some place else
I think we all get a little burn out once in a while and that is totally ok. End of the year is always the most exciting as is the beginning. Last year I had said I would be cutting back in the summer but instead starting stressing about not doing anything. I figured a few posts in the summer and some sunday posts would be perfect and I think this will work until September. Just nice and relaxed 🙂
Kiss the Spindle looks great! And I loved An Ember in the Ashes! I’m glad things at work are different so you can relax more! That’s really great 🙂 I love that house, OMG! If only I could have it in real life.
So far it is really good, a Steampunk Paranormal Proper Romance retelling of sleeping beauty. Lol. I am really liking it. 🙂
I have some serious anxiety and I now the relax and enjoy will help that.
I just build a new house and now want to live in it. It came out so good! 😀
