Week in READview:

Real life, Blogging & Reading:

So after I took off on Wednesday since I hadn’t slept in four days since the coughing was unreal. So I pretty much slept all day. On Friday I got sick again, like a different sick. So now I am feeling a bit better but still think I might have some sort of cold, plan to rest, visit and blog today. If I still feel weird, I’ll head back to the doctor on Monday.

I didn’t do much the last few days since I pretty much slept as soon as I got home from work. Friday, I tried to catch up on stuff around the house that I wasn’t able to do during the week.

The weather was all f!@#ed Up this week. It was like Spring and then so cold it hurt your face to be outside, then on Saturday it stupid snowed…you know stupid snow, when it snows, sort of, and it’s like fluffy then it rain snows and everything is just stupid…that’s stupid snow.

I did have some time to read and FINALLY finished my first book of the year, I even got to put a dollar in my reading jar. I was planning on starting a book I got from a publisher but was unaware it was set in a world that I didn’t know. It is a new series but I got super confused by the first few chapters, it was like they assumed you already knew what was going on, so I think I might need to read the other series first.

About the reading jar? I saw something the other day where you finish a book and put a dollar in a jar. So every book I finish this year I will add a dollar to a har that I have on my shelf. At the end of the year we can use the money for dinner or most likely I’ll just buy more books! 🙂

Reading/Currently Reading/Next:

What I grabbed:

I accidentally 1-clicked a bunch of books and by accidentally, I mean on purpose! 🙂 I have a thing recently, if the book is over 500 pages and I have it in physical format and if the kindle version it goes on sale, I will grab so The Gutter Prayer and Senlin Ascends were on sale so I grabbed them for $4.99. Since I don’t like to take my physical books out of the house, this works perfect if I want to read when I am out. I am on a fantasy kick and grabbed a few freebies and sale books that I have been wanting to read.

  1. I hope you’re feeling better soon, that’s no fun to keep being sick and then get a new sickness. Do you have medicines against the cough? I remember I got a medicine that suppressed the cough last time I was sick, which helped a lot.

Your weather seems to be all over the place last week. That’s a fun idea re the reading jar! I hope this week is a better one!

  2. Hope you re feeling better. I hate being sick this time of year- I mean, it always sucks but this time of year is so dreary anyway. January- ugh. And yes we got snow too- wet heavy crap that made the roads a mess. I’m over it.

Scavenge the Stars looks like it has my name all over it. 🙂

The dollar jar’s not a bad idea!

    Have a great week Michelle!

  3. I think a reading jar would allow me to buy lots of books Michelle as I read 136 books last year! 😉 Let’s hope that your jar fill in fast.

  4. Yeah it’s definitely that time of year where everyone gets sick and passes it along. I hope you feel better soon!

Nice new reads! I was pretty happy with that book box choice! The book wasn’t on my radar until it was revealed what was going to be in that box and I got excited since that is one of my favorite classics ever! Will be curious at how it’s done on the YA scale more so than the gender swapping!

Hope you feel better and enjoy all the reads!

    Here’s my StS

    Have a GREAT day!

    Old Follower 🙂

  5. Sorry to hear that you are still so sick! And on top of that you got stupid snow! Hope this week goes much better. You got a lot of cool books! That is a good idea about big books and kindle. 🙂

Have a great week and happy reading!

  6. I hope this plague-on-top-of-plague thing goes away for you! *Lysols keyboard just in case* We’ve had rain and now it’s supposed to get down into the 20s for several nights. I think that might be bad for my daffodils! It’s not just stupid snow, you know. It’s Stupid Weather all around. *sigh* I hope you have a much better week, Michelle! XOXO

  7. Stupid snow! 😂 I’d take any kind of snow at the moment. I love it. We’ll probably see none but I live in hope! It’s been super chilly with frost… But that means nothing. 🙁

I hope you get over the second load of sick!
