When the Sky fell on Splendor turned out to be a pretty awesome book. I really liked it. The haunting of Gillespie House was pretty good also, I should have a review for that soon. I am so excited to read Aurora Rising. My reading hasn’t been great but I am trying to get at least an hour of reading in a day and hoping to participate in the 24 hour readathon. That usually boosts my reading. fingers crossed

Week in READview:
Real life & Blogging:
The weather is finally fall but this month needs to slow down a bit. I feel like I haven’t had a chance to enjoy October yet.
This week was pretty normal, follow up Doctor appoint for my husband after his ear tube surgery. We have to put meds in his ear and now his other ear is clogged. Poor guy is falling apart. I told him after 40 it’s all aches and pains lol.
Went to my daughters open house and it seems 6th grade is going to be so hard. It’s going to be a tough year for her and I am hoping they will offer tutoring so she can get some extra help.
I think I have strep and an ear infection. If it doesn’t go away by Monday I will be off to see the doctor. We are going Apple Picking today and I can’t wait to get my winesap apples, they are my favorite.
I am planning to get a few posts done after we get back from Apple Picking. I am still a bit behind but I am not going crazy. I will do posts when I can. I just need to get back to visiting which has been a struggle since I can’t seem to find time in my day to squeeze it in. I think I might start doing a comment, comment back for a while until I can find a better way to visit. Thank you to everyone that has stopped by to comment on my posts, I really appreciate it.
So tell me what have you been reading and up to this week?
Hope you all have a fantastic week!!!
Happy Reading

I hope you feel much better this week I find myself just hanging on through activities I’m so tired I love fall apples. I’ve been in Wisconsin and the whole orchard smells good I like to make applesauce and apple crisp and just eat them. Happy reading!

I so want There Will Come a Darkness!! And I also got The Girl the Sea Gave Back! I won it in a giveaway. I hope you feel better soon!
Ooh I’m so glad The sky Fell turned out good. I should get that one. And oh no- I hope your strep / ear infection don’t get too bad, or hopefully it’s something not quite as serious. It seems like everyone I know is sick right now! Must be this weather. Good luck to your husband too, and yes- after 40 it’s a mess lol!
The HoHoHo RAT is always fun. 🙂
Have a great week Michelle!!!
Sounds like a rough week! I’m glad you’re going to the doctor and hopefully you’ll be able to get rid of all the yuckiness soon. Apple picking sounds fun! I need to head to one of our orchards soon and pick up some of my favorites. I love apple time! Hope this week is better and you get some reading in.
Man, y’all are falling apart 🙁 I hope Scott’s other ear gets to feeling better and that you heal up quick. If it’s strep, which sucks, at least the meds will do the trick quickly. 6th grade is definitely a rough year, I hope they do have tutoring for Julia. Take care!!! Have fun apple picking, sounds super fun.
Sorry to hear about the ear and throat infection! I had something similar last week and it was horrid. Wishing you a speedy recovery!
I’m excited for the HoHoHo readathon and Read A Series in A Month!
Poor hubby! Hope his ears feel better soon and that you are on the mend as well. Yay for an apple orchard venture. I’m a Granny Smith gal which don’t grow around here, but I did get some Macintosh which is the second fav when we stopped at the roadside stand. Glad your reading is going well this week.
Have a good one, Michelle!
I hope this will end up being something pretty minor because strep infection… and on a bright note: have fun with Aurora Rising!!!
Not a great week for you, I hope it improves.
Wishing you a great reading week, good luck with your readathon
Sixth grade is a transition year for many kids. I hope there is lots of support. It can be a hard time for many.
I hope you are able to get your ear back to normal. I used to have those all the time when I was little.
Have a great reading week!

Boo on the strep and ear thingy. Drink lots of tea and hopefully the Dr will clear up the rest.
Have fun apple picking! I’ve never done that as an outing before. We just picked from the trees we had on the farm. Some cherries, apples, plums. Not a lot. We really want to grow some fruit trees here. Not sure how we’ll manage that without cutting down most of the trees we already have. I really wish we had more sunny acreage. Gardens are hard to grow without sun and space. We’ll figure something out.
I hope this week slows down and is healthy for you, Michelle! XOXO
Oh I hope its not strep and an ear infection! That is awful!! Sorry to hear your husband’s ear is clogged too. That is the worst!
It’s that time of year I guess. 🙂
Nice new reads! I keep debating about There Will Come a Darkness! I hope you enjoy the new reads!
