Wait…May’s over already? ~ WIR & TSP

Posted May 29, 2016 by Michelle in The Sunday Post, WIReadview / 24 Comments

WIR&TSPWeek in READ-view is a post I have posted on Sundays telling you what I have been up to this week and what I read or am reading. The Sunday Post is a meme sponsored by the awesome Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. Itโ€™s a chance to share news, post a recap of the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

On the Blog & Real Life:

Ummm…Where did May go? I am not sure if it’s because I am getting older or the world is just going to fast, I could have sworn May just started. This week was crazy, I didn’t get a thing done because I have been so busy. Not sure what made this week more crazy than normal but all week I felt like we had something to do. My husbands birthday was on Wednesday but we didn’t get to celebrate like we wanted, Julia had a game that day and we went to the diner so by the time we got home it was really late and then…he fell asleep…So Happy Birthday Scot, we let you sleep! ๐Ÿ™‚ Thursday the kids and I left for the shore house at night. I was barely home the last two days and once we were packed we left about 9pm to avoid the mad traffic on Friday. Memorial Weekend is always the weekend we celebrate mine and my husbands birthdays. Scots is the 25th and Mine is the 28th. We are down at the Jersey Shore this weekend… my happy place. I am looking forward to spending the summer here on the weekends, I really do get a lot more reading done and as a family we always have a blast. Today we are having a small party at the shore house, looking forward to it since it’s always fun to spend time with the family.

I was planning to do my BEA Part 2 this week but I couldn’t figure out how I wanted to write it but I think I am just going to make a simple post and spotlight a few books I got and tell you why I picked them up. It’s just so hard to write a post when Iย have so many awesome booksย I want to share with you. I will figure it out so look for it at some point this week.

  1. I’m glad you got a chance to get away to the shore, Michelle. That was a birthday gift in itself, right? I know what you mean about May being over. It seems the acme way to me – with BEA, Sky’s graduation and then her birthday, not to mention having had a houseful of family. ..well the month zoomed by. We’ll get it together at some point, right? ๐Ÿ˜‰ Hope you’re having an amazing week!

  3. Happy birthday! I’m sure it is a mad dash everywhere this weekend. We stayed in for the most part. I hope you guys enjoy the Jersey Shore!

  4. Happy birthday! I know how you feel about having a busy week. My break from school ended, so I’m back to attending class. With that, comes 3 textbooks for a 5 week class. Oh, the joys of online college. Haha. I’m right along with you, I cannot believe it’s the end of May! I could have sworn it was the end of March…

  6. It sounds like we both had a busy week. My week felt kinda the same as you, looking back I am not even sure what I did, but it was a busy one, lots of tour work and small things. Happy birthday to you and your husband I hope you had a great day! I hope you’re enjoying your time at the shore house, maybe because you’re not at home and it feels a bit like vacation that you get more reading done?

I am looking forward to your second BEA recap post it looks like you got so many good books! And it sure is nice to not get any books in a week for a change. I did well last week, but I got three new ones this week, but I am already reading two of them. I hope you’ll have a great week!
