Some changes are coming ~ WIR & TSP

Posted June 19, 2016 by Michelle in The Sunday Post, WIReadview / 20 Comments

WIR&TSPWeek in READ-view is a post I have posted on Sundays telling you what I have been up to this week and what I read or am reading. The Sunday Post is a meme sponsored by the awesome Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news, post a recap of the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

On the Blog & Real Life:

First let me say this was a productive week, I worked on the COYER website and did a bunch of design stuff. I still have a few more things to do and then I can start making some design stuff that I need to do for myself. What that is I am not sure yet but I have ideas, people…IDEAS!!!

Speaking of ideas, I had a few. I made a list. That means I will be changing things around. Not the design because I like my blog design but for example I will be changing how I do this post and added a few more posts to the weeks. I love a list, I am good at doing lists so I want to add more of those and I have other things I want to do. I made a plan for posts I want to do for the week and I am thinking that I might start them in July if all goes well. This Friday, was my last Friday home alone while the kids are at school, so I spent most of the day brain storming without any noise and that is when all the ideas started popping.

I was able to go to the Dentist and he fixed the tooth instead of pulling it out. It wasn’t cheap but wasn’t as much as having a cap put on it. So for now I will see how the filling he put in it goes and if it doesn’t take I will have it pulled since I can’t afford the cap. I would need to sell my kids.

BTW I am very excited to say I hit 80% on NETGALLEY and I got my little badge. Now if I can avoid requesting anything until I finish the 9 books that are on my netgalley shelf I will be set. Good things most of them are for the 2016HW so I should actually clear my shelf (maybe) before the year is over!

  1. 80% Woot! And jealous! I’m slowly creeping there. I think I’m at 48% or something like that. But in November I’ll be adding lots, so I’m not fretting. Yet. 😀

I never put what I’ll be reading next because while I have a list I try to stick to, I don’t always. Plus, when I read my InD’tale Magazine books, the review won’t be out until the next month, so I just don’t list them (on GR) until then.

Looking forward to seeing your changes. It’s like rearranging the furniture. Always exciting! Well, once you get started anyway. lol I’ve been thinking of a different way to do reviews. Not sure yet, but I have some vague ideas. 😀

Have a great week, Michelle! xoxo

  2. The Women in the Walls is one I want to read! Will have to check your review. I’m like you, it’s hard to post what I will be reading, because I don’t always know for sure. I’m pretty sure about what reviews are coming up for the week these days though, because I am so behind, that I have things scheduled ahead now. You can check out my Sunday Post in the link below!

  3. I love the COYER website! Congrats on hitting your 80% on NetGalley! I think I’ll get there…in five or six years! Glad the dentist could find an alternative to a cap. I’m so interested in you new posts! I

  4. Wow a very busy week Michelle and – more importantly – a productive one.

It’s great you’re brimming with ideas… and hope the tooth cap works okay!

  5. Congrats on the 80% in Netgalley! I’m stuck at my ratio since I haven’t been reading or adding books. But with COYER I plan to read the ARCs I have. I usually don’t plan what I read next until I’m done with my current read. Depending on my mood I might switch genres. It’s good to hear you were able to see a dentist. I hope you have a great week!

  6. I’m not a big To Do List person, but I like making other types of lists. 🙂 I look forward to seeing what new ideas you will be incorporating on your blog, Michelle! I am glad the dentist didn’t end up having to pull your tooth. Hopefully the filling will work. That is awesome that you are at 80% on NetGalley. I’m not sure what my precentage is. I’m afraid to look. I always say no more until I’m closer to being caught up, and then I do okay for awhile. Until one catches my interest–and it’s never just one. I have a serious problem.

Love the photo. 🙂 I hope you have a great week!

  7. Sighs, for me to hit 80% I need more hours a in the day for reading and more days in the week and well someone to block my Netgalley grabbing…lol. 🙂 Can’t wait to see what new things you do for your blog. 🙂

  8. You hit 80%! Mad jealously over here! Things are always a little more chaotic with the kids home. I feel like I can barely finish a thought sometimes. I’m looking forward to seeing some of your new ideas though! Have a great week!

  9. I hope you have some times to do design work for yourself as ell, but that’s great you’ve been busy with design work! And thanks so much for all the design work you did for me lately, I really appreciate it! You do awesome work 🙂

I also love lists, they are awesome. Looking forward to see what changes you planned, although I am glad you’re not changing your design as I like it. Although if you would switch I probably would like that design as well, lol.

I am glad the dentist fixed your tooth, even though it wasn’t cheap, it’s a good you didn’t need a cap.

And it’s amazing you git the 80%, I hope to reach the 80% one day, but not much hope for that. I first have to get to the 70%. I hope you’ll have a great week!

  10. LOL Michelle! What do you mean you have ideas? And you’ve made some new lists? :p That’s just not like you. At. All! :p
Congrats on reaching 80% on Netgalley, Michelle! I’m sure you’ll be able to keep it up now, because you’ll be even more motivated to keep your new badge 😀
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading! xoxo Miss your face!! xoxo

    • I have a list of ideas! Just lots of ideas 🙂 You know me and my ideas! I am sure at some point it will involve some of you!
Thank you, I am really hoping to keep that 80% and get it higher so even if I request more I can still be ok.

More lists, hmm? I’m curious to see what you come up with. Change can be good. Have fun with it!

    • I like making lists, sometimes I just make a list and stare at it getting nothing done but this time I am determined to get it done 🙂 I still have a lot of brainstorming to do but I am off to a good start. Change is always good! It’s what I needed to break this stupid slump I have been in.

    • Thank you, I have been trying very hard to avoid netgalley and get all those books read. So far so good 🙂

Thank you, not sure why I didn’t think of it soon, you would think with all my crazy ideas that would have been the first thing I though of lol.

So far it is and I am hoping to spend a lot of the summer reading!
