Update Sunday Feb 5th 11:51am est ~ Hi, I am adding this update in since this post was done before last night. Our house got hit with the dreaded Stomach Virus and I am taking care of the little girl today. If you stop by to comment, thank you! I will comment back as soon as I can stop all the ick…I will be spending the day Lysoling the house and praying no one else gets it because that would be no fun at all. On the blog:
This week I introduced a new monthly feature called Monthly Book Report. I wanted a way to showcase the books I read, received and reviewed. I thought this would be a great way. I also made some changes to my Monthly Rewind, which is now all about Posts and Blogging. Real life stuff is saved for this post only, so it’s a recap of my blogging during the month and what is to come. I have been brainstorming a lot and this week I will introduce another new feature, however, this will be a starter post, like an explanation so you know what is to come. I am rather excited about it because it’s a fun post. I have a few other ideas that I am working out on I am really thinking about either making it a challenge or just maybe something I do myself. Still thinking about it and how I want it to work. I am so happy about my progress and even if I am not at the moment as ahead as I would like, I am still proud of how determined I am to bring this blog back from the disaster it became last year.
In Real life:
76 days smoke free….I feel amazing and in a much better place.
This week went by very quickly and was somewhat productive but not as much as I wanted to get finished. My sister and I took my mom out to dinner for her birthday with my daughter. It was a nice night out and the food was delicious. It’s a local restaurant called Spuntinos and the food is a gourmet tapas. I love it and drag my husband often so it was nice to have a girls night with yummy food and of course wine.
Saturday I spend all day cleaning the bathroom and redecorating, wasn’t planning on it but a slight incident caused the shower curtain to get torn up so instead of waiting another week I did it on Saturday. It took a lot longer than I had wanted but I am kind of happy it’s done now. One less thing to do for Spring cleaning. 🙂
Today is Superbowl Sunday and I don’t really care. I enjoy the Puppy and Kitten bowl because PUPPIES AND KITTENS!!! plus I will be cooking a nice fun dinner for my parents and family. Just some fun food while the boys watch football and I watch the puppies, kittens & commercials. Hoping for some funny ones because the world could use some more fun/funny stuff.
What I’m Watching:
I am almost done with Bones, by the time you read this I should be finished with Season 11…now if I can just avoid watching it again, that would be great, I really want to catch up on Emerald City and Once Upon a Time which is my goal this week. 🙂

I’m so far behind on Once Upon A Time it isn’t even funny. Supernatural too. I’ve been binge watching Parenthood and am up to Season 4. Don’t know why I never watched it before but I am enjoying it. I forgot all about the Puppy Bowl. It was a pretty hectic weekend. Congrats on your smoke-free progress.

You must be feeling pretty proud of yourself right now. 😉 I’m excited about all the changes to your blog – can’t wait to see the new feature. I need to do something exciting on mine but I don’t have any creative juice for it right now. :/ Ah, the Puppy Bowl. I had no idea what this even was Berk seemed to think I was a mutant for not knowing. 😉 She and I watched the first half and the halftime show – we enjoyed several of the commercials and were surprised Lady Gaga didn’t do anything controversial. But then we had to go to the airport to pick up James and Jax so we missed the last half. James was watching on his phone on the way home. *sniff* Sad NE won. Have a great week!!! {{{hugs}}}
CONGRATS on your 76 days! That is awesome! I could care less about the Super Bowl. I’ve been working on a new series of posts on my blog and watching Pretty Little Liars all day. I hope you are able to kill the stomach bug before it has spread. I have kids dropping like flies right now. They Cloroxed their desks the other day and all the things they touch every day (phone, door handles, stapler, turn in box, etc.) I do it mostly so I don’t get sick, because I don’t want to be sick! I hope the little one starts feeling better soon!

Sorry to hear your home got hit with sickness too, I’ve been sick on and off for a while so I know how it is to have to time blog stuff around that chaos. I love the idea of a monthly book report, I might try something like that myself!
Hoping it stays confined to just the room area, I have made a barrier of Lysol around the door.
It’s a fun way to showcase the books and I love doing that push it’s another excuse to show off some awesome covers 🙂
I will be watching mysteries on Hallmark Movie and Mystery channel today as I don’t watch the Superbowl and not much for the puppy or kitten bowl either…lol.
Hope your little one gets better soon and it doesn’t spread. Dad has been sick so I have been doing the Lysol thing over here too! 🙂 Trying real hard not to catch anything that is going around. 🙂

Hooray for 76 days! That is a great accomplishment and you should celebrate. I am a huge Patriots fan, but we don’t have local channels or anything (we can only watch shows on netflix or hulu) so I won’t get to watch the game. I do miss all the awesome commercials though! The puppy bowl has a puppy from Cincinnati (my town) this year. It has been all over the news so I can’t wait to see clips tomorrow on the news!

Awww…I will have to look out for him today! I have a feeling a lot of commercials are going to be political and I really just want the funny ones. I have cable for my husband and I usually just watch netflix and hulu! 🙂

That’s awesome Michelle. Nice job. Enjoy Super Bowl day- for me it’s more about the commercials (the one day a year I wanna see commercials lol) and the food. Although I think Puppy Bowl is getting as popular as the game- everyone I know is talking about it. 🙂
Love the Puppy Bowl and Kitten Bowl, it’s for such a great cause and by the time it’s over I want to adopt them all.
The commercials better be good this year. My little one has the stomach virus so we aren’t having a lot of food but I usually cook a lot during the SB.
