Week in READ-view is a post I have posted on Sundays telling you what I have been up to this week and what I read or am reading. The Sunday Post is a meme sponsored by the awesome Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news, post a recap of the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
On the Blog, Books & Real Life:
HAPPY OCTOBER! We are now entering my favorite times of year!!!! Blog header will change monthly until Jan! 🙂
So I didn’t get struck by lightening…thank god…but apparently I was blog kryptonite this week. On Tuesday, the day of my BIG giveaway post for the movie Miss Peregrine, my blog was all messed up. If you tried to visit it would either ask you to download something or you would see all encrypted text. I WAS FREAKING OUT. My host company looked into it and I was told to change my password and he added a bit more security to it so I am notified when someone tries to log in or can get in. That pretty much took of most of my day. I seem to be under attack which is flattering and completely annoying. I keep getting emails about failed logins and Friday got an email about strange posts on my blog and I was going to be locked out if I didn’t follow the links (spam email). Seriously? Just leave me alone and let me blog in peace! On Friday I tried to get into Limabean Designs website and was completely locked out. Do you want to know why? Because I am losing my mind and was using the wrong user name. *bangs head on desk*.
Spent most of the day Friday thru Sunday finishing up as much of October posts as I can because Blog Ahead started on Saturday and I need to get ahead. I hate being behind. I have a list of things I need and want to do so I am hoping to get them all done and not spend the entire time doing posts for October like I did the last time.
If you comment and it disappears, it is probably in my spam folder and I will be checking all day to see if any gets thrown in there. Not sure what is going on but is seems to be a WP thing at the moment.
Don’t forget to enter for a chance to WIN
a $25 Visa Gift Card to see the movie and a copy of the book with Movie Tie in Cover

Hope you all have a fantastic week!!!
Happy Reading
I hope all your technological issues get cleared up, Michelle. I can only imagine how frustrating it is! I’d be in big trouble since I’m not as tech-savvy as you. 🙂 I can’t wait to see what you think of Beastly Bones. Happy reading and have a great week!! <3
I need to update my header! I was so busy this weekend, I feel like I’m going into this week behind already 🙁 so no blogging was really accomplished. Hopefully I’ll manage a few posts tomorrow, seeing as blog Ahead is upon us. Have a great week. Miss you!!!
I’ve had some comments going into my spam folder as well Michelle (and I’m with WP!).
I love that you change your banner for the time of year – what a great idea! We don’t really do Halloween here in Australia but it’s becoming more and more popular. I usually have some lollies (candy) on hand, just in case of trick or treaters.
Man, you really are having a time with your blog, those hackers need to go away and leave you in peace. Hope things get back to normal soon. Enjoy your new reads!!
Stormi
Love the changing blog headers! And everyone Halloween-ing their Twitter handles, lol- I should do that too. Sorry to hear about the blog issues- hate that! People who hack people’s websites should be smacked up, obnoxious %^&%’s lol.
Miss Peregrine’s looks great. Eva Green plus crossbow = damn!! Ha ha i need to see that movie!
Omega City looks awesome!
Good luck getting ahead, Michelle!
Oh no , sorry about all of your tech/blog issues! I hope things are doing better now. I LOVE October and I’m so ready to start reading suitable books for the month/time of the year. hah
-Lauren
Sorry about your blog issues!!! I am always terrified that someone will hack my site because I have NO CLUE how to fix anything like that! I wouldn’t even know who to call!!
Hopefully you have a great week and no hackers!
That is my problem too. I have no clue how to fix it but thank goodness my host guy is awesome and doesn’t mind me annoying the crap out of him. I might need to do a post about how great they are. 🙂
Thanks Samantha, I am hoping no hackers too! 🙂
I like your Halloween header and theme! I also like October, it’s nice to have some cooler weather and I am looking forward to pick up a Halloween cozy mystery or two.
Wow that sounds creepy with your blog going wonky. Was your blog hacked? Do you have a security plugin installed now? I can understand why that threw you off. I always worry a lot when something goes wrong with my blog. It’s so frustrating when that happens.
It does sound like you had a good reading week and your new reads look great! I hope this week will be a good one for you.
Thank you 🙂 I love decorating the blog for the seasons.
I don’t think so but something happened and my host didn’t see any virus or malware. So we don’t know exactly what happened. He installed security that I need to look at some more since it might be a paid service if I want more security. Just can’t pay for it at the moment. I get worried because I can’t fix it and it freaks me out since I am so behind, it sends me into a slump but it seems to be working now.
Wow that must have been so frustrating. Glad you and your host got it resolved!
Have a great week! And Happy October!!
Very frustrating, I am also glad we were able to fix it. Makes me so panicky when the blog isn’t working correctly.
GAH! I hate technology! Well, sometimes. lol I hope you’ll have smooth sailing from now on.
I quite enjoy October. We’re decorating for Halloween today and I do like the cooler days. Well, supposedly cooler days. Here in NC lately who knows? So far so good though. *fingers crossed*
I hope you have a fantastic week, Michelle! xoxo
Me too, that was annoying! 🙂
I am decorating today, if my husband will get the stuff for me. I am sure if I nag enough he will bring it up.
I love the cooler weather and fingers crossed. Matthew blows out to sea. Those tracks don’t look good for any of us.
My head aches for you and with you. Isn’t the internet such fun. LOL Ever since my email got hacked, my blog host has added extra security requiring me to frequently change my password. I couldn’t remember my newest one and was frantic until I found where I’d written it down. Hopefully, this week goes smoothly for you and you can enjoy those lovely books.
Thanks Laura, it was so annoying, even now with the comments going into spam. I always get myself so frustrated I can’t function the rest of the day and it throws me off. Probably because I know I can’t fix it and need someone else to do it and I love to fix things myself.
I am looking forward to read them! 🙂
