WIR&TSP

Week in READ-view is a post I have posted on Sundays telling you what I have been up to this week and what I read or am reading. The Sunday Post is a meme sponsored by the awesome Kimba at the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Real Life & Blog News:

This week has been a bit crazy….OK Now ask me why??? Ok I will just tell you. I have absolutely no idea. Maybe it’s a leftover feeling from the kids being finally out of school, maybe its because the kids are in my ears for some reason constantly or I am just nuts, either way I felt like I had a crazy week but I don’t have anything to show for it. NOTHING! I did 5 reviews and just need to get them ready for posting and that is about it. I took some picture of my garden for How does your garden grow Post and found a new game I have been playing this week that I will feature on an App Review, otherwise, NOTHING! So why am I so crazy, I just don’t know.

This week I have had a pain in my shoulder and it’s been causing me not to be able to work on the computer as much as I would like. I am thinking tendonitis or a pulled muscle. It’s very painful to work on the computer which is freaking me out since that’s pretty much what I d0. Not sure how it hurt it but it looks like if it keeps up like this I will be taking a trip to the doctor on Monday.

COYER is back and so far everyone that is participate is kicking ass when it comes to reading and review posting. I just finished my first book for the challenge *hangs head* but I am hoping now that we will be going down the shore on the weekends I will have more time to read.

I think I am in need of a genre change so I am diving into a few Middle Grade reads to get my head as far from real life as possible πŸ™‚

  1. I’m sorry you’re feeling like you had a crazy week, but 5 reviews mostly written is pretty darn good! And I’m all for the occasional genre change to soothe jangled nerves and just for the fun of it. I love the look of all your MG books. Several are books I am considering but I have so many review books already… Anyway, I hope this week is calmer for you, and that your shoulder feels better SOON!

  2. I so want one of those Jason’s! LOL Hope this week is not as crazy and you get lots of stuff done..go pull some weeds. πŸ˜‰ The books you have coming up look really cute so I hope they help you get ahead of the game and you get some good COYER reading done. πŸ™‚

Have a great week, my friend! πŸ™‚

  3. I hate those kind of weeks. When I feel them coming, I usually write down on a notebook everything I actually achieved during the day, it makes me feel better as I thought I hadn’t done much. I hope your shoulder feels better soon, but yes, a trip to the doctor isn’t a bad idea ! Have fun with COYER and have a better week πŸ˜‰

  4. Those MG’s looks awesome, especially The Map to Everywhere and The Wrinkled Crown. There seem to be so many good MG’s coming out lately- and the have nice covers too. Really jump off the shelf. I hope they are just what you need!

COYER does seem to be getting off to a good start, I enjoyed the Twitter party. Nice to chat books. I need to get to the linky and read some more reviews! πŸ™‚ Have a fab weekend.

    • MG’s are such a fun change to all the adult stuffiness πŸ™‚ The covers are always so gorgeous! They really hook me a lot more than the YA or Adult type reads.

I was so happy you joined us πŸ™‚ It was really fun chatting books. I still haven’t added anything to the linky either but I only read one book lol

  5. You’re probably just working on getting your summer mojo on! A few trips to the shore should put you to rights! And I prescribe HEAT for your arm, along with some ibuprofen. I just started doing Couch to 5k and I’m literally sitting on the couch right now with a heating pad wrapped around my knee. Granted, I don’t type with my knee…

I think MG books are perfect for the summer! That and funny romances.

Here’s to getting your mojo back!!! πŸ˜€

    • LOL, Yes heat is exactly what I have been using and ibuprofen πŸ™‚ They are my friends this week! I could love to get off the couch and do a 5k it’s my goal for next year. I want to start running, just really have no time so for now I will be walking with my son whenever we can since it helps him with his frustration and it’s just Him and Me time.

Oh funny romances are super cute for summer πŸ™‚

I hope so too πŸ™‚ Thank you!!! ox

  6. I hate weeks like that! I guess I like them better than weeks when bad stuff actually happens but it’s so exhausting to just feel crazy and frantic and there’s nothing going on! Hopefully your mind will settle down once you get back in a routine with summer and having Ryan home. With your talk of the games you’re trying you inspired me to start doing Hidden Object games that I used to love but stopped doing. I’m really loving it and it’s such a great stress relief! Have a great week!

    • I LOVE Hidden Object games, I have an account on Big Fish Games and play all the time, Now that you mentioned Hidden Object games I realize I have to finish one that i have πŸ™‚

Once we start going to the shore on the weekends i have a feeling I will be a little more relaxed πŸ™‚

  7. I hate weeks like that. You get stuff done, but it doesn’t *seem* like you got stuff done and you feel like you just spun your wheels when really you didn’t. lol I hope your shoulder feels better. I’ll wing some {{{posivibes}}} your direction. πŸ™‚

  8. The heat here in California made me crazy and lazy! But at least you got your reviews done. I’m slowly doing mine, I’m just having a hard time thinking lol. I hope your shoulder feels better and get some time for yourself! I hope this week is better for both of us!

    • The heat makes me very lazy also which is why I am trying to get as much done before it gets really hot πŸ˜‰
My shoulder isn’t to bad today which is good sign πŸ™‚ Hoping it will be gone by this week!

  9. I also had a bit of a crazy week for no good reason, it’s been a bit frustrating. I hope next week is better for you! It must be nice, but also busy to have both your kids at home for summer vacation.
That shoulder pain sounds nasty, I hope it goes away soon or else the doctor might be able to help. I can’t imagine not being able to work at the computer, that would drive me crazy!

I am really enjoying this Coyer so far, I had some more time to read this week and read two ipad books and almost finished the third ipad book. My physical copies is going slower, only finished one of those and I am now reading a thick book, but it’s really good so I don’t mind. And it’s great you at least finished one book, I am hoping the genre switch will help. I am reading some books by my favourite authors as evening books and that helped compensate for the less good ipad reads. I always like those MG covers you display on your blog, makes me want to give them a try as they all look so cute and fun!

I hope you have a great week and enjoy your new books!

    • I realized the Summer I tend to read more MG/YA and the Winter more YA/adult. I might be a season reader πŸ™‚

I have all my devises linked up so once one goes down I have the others for back up. I have a few physical books I want to get to but I want to wait for the weekends to read those since I like to read at work (in the bathroom) but I can’t use a physical book on e-book. (sometimes I go in the bathroom just to read) πŸ˜‰

They kids are pretty good in keeping themselves occupied but every once in a while they go into crazy mood and both of them don’t stop talking so it’s hard to concentrate πŸ™‚ I usually send them outside to play but we don’t have a big yard just a big driveway they play in. Yesterday the kids downstairs were up here and they kids were playing for a while so they are busy but nosy lol πŸ™‚
