Week in READ-view is a post I have posted on Sundays telling you what I have been up to this week and what I read or am reading. The Sunday Post is a meme sponsored by the awesome Kimba at the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. Itβs a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
Real Life & Blog News:
Before I get to BEA let me give you a quick Update. Ryan is still in the hospital but we are hoping he will come home Wednesday but only if they think he is ready. The Doctor will check on him on Monday and I will know probably by Tuesday if he is coming home. I hope I have good news for you all next week and my Ryan will be himself and home were he belongs.
So I am a complete doofus and never mentioned that I was going to be at BEA on Friday. I have been going for three years now with my sister and we always have a great time. This year it was set up a bit different but I was ok with that however they really weren’t giving away any major books at the booths like they did last year or at least not on Friday when I was there. The lines were not bad at all and I really loved meeting all the authors. I plan to have a full post about it this week but for one day I came home with 37 books (7 of them are signed), 2 ebooks from a free download and a lot of Swag .
I will have a list of books with links in the BEA post but if you want to see what I got you can check out my BEA Books 2015 Shelf on Goodreads, HERE
This week was also my Birthday and my Husbands Birthday but we didn’t feel like celebrating so we are going to wait until Ryan comes home and have a cake and go out to dinner. It’s just not the same without him.
Have you signed up for COYER yet? You still have plenty of time

Hope you all have a fantastic week!!!
Happy Reading
I really hope Ryan is home by now, Michelle, I keep sending positive and healing thoughts both his and your way!
WOW, that’s a lot of books to get in just one day – I wonder how you’d have done at RT π *hugs*
Nice haul, Michelle. I hope you enjoy them all and I’m glad you had the chance to go to BEA. I hope Ryan is doing better and will be able to be home soon. It isn’t the same when one of your children isn’t there. Hopefully this week is going well. <3
Hope Ryan comes home this week and you get to celebrate your birthdays with him. Glad you had fun at BEA, would have been a great distraction. I’d love to go, just once, which is probably a big ask all the way from Australia lol but hey I can hope. Happy reading π
So jealous you got to go to BEA..lol. Can’t wait to see your list of books. Also what did you think of This Monsterous Thing?
π
It wasn’t a bad book, I don’t know how to explain it when I write my review it was a retelling but it was done very different. I am not sure how to explain what was really retold.
I did BEA for two years and got a lot of books. But, I did not read many of them and since I am old school, I cannot just toss them. I felt BEA was more for publishers and book sellers. And, I was kind of appalled at how badly it was organized and the same with the blogger con.
Wow, I sound so cranky. I would like to go to a con where blog discussion centered on workshops (not panels, not sales) was discussed, where we met authors and readers but didn’t have to go all “fan girl,” Where it was less about standing in line for autographs, or what costume was best.
I will be honest the last BEA was a MESS! This one was so much better. They had it all set up different and it wasn’t crazy at all. I was able to chat with a few publishers and it just seemed lighter and totally more organized.
I’m hoping your son gets to come home soon and Happy belated Birthday! Looks like you did good at BEA. LOL I’d love to go someday:) Enjoy all of those lovely new books.
Thank You Laura! It was fun, def worth a trip. Lots of free books and it’s so nice meeting all the authors.
Happy Birthday to you and your husband.:)
I’ll keep my fingers crossed for Ryan;I hope he’s home soon.
I’m glad you made it in to BEA; someday I’ll get there. I’ll have to check out your godreads shelf and see what you got. π
Thank you BEA!
Next year is in Chicago and I am really looking forward to going maybe, it will be a nice get away for my husband and I
I hope Ryan gets to come home this week and things are better. That’s exciting you went to BEA! I want to go one of these days. I can’t wait for COYER to start and I’m planning the books I’ll be reading. I hope you get to celebrate your birthdays this week and have a great week!
Thank you, Kathy
Next year it’s in Chicago so I am hoping to make it a little get away for my husband and I.
I can’t wait either π It going to be so much fun, I need to start planning my books, I think I will do it this week.
I hope you can take Ryan home this week, it must be weird not having him at home even if it’s for the best.
Sounds like you had a great day at BEA and got lots of books! Nice haul! I hope you get to celebrate your birthdays next week when Ryan is home. Those flowers look great!
I am already impatient for Coyer to start, it’s going to be fun! I hope you have a great week and enjoy all your new books!
It’s very strange not having him home. I have been sleeping in his bed because it’s just weird that no one is in it and it makes me feel closer to him.
It was a lot of fun π Was a nice distraction from everything for a little while. I hope so too. The flowers were so pretty my daddy did a good job lol
LOL I am so glad, it is going to be a lot of fun.
I really hope Ryan gets to come home this week – the perfect belated birthday present π Glad you had a good time at BEA and scored so many goodies! I hope we get to do BEA next year – hopefully it will be a week I can take off work, fingers crossed!
yes it will be π
It was so much fun and I hope so too! Scot is totally on board to come and it told him he has to come to one of the expos just so he can carry the books π
Thank you, Grace. It was laid out so different and I think much better than last year. The lines were fantastic, I heard yesterday was crazy. Got a few great books that way and meeting the authors was so awesome tired really hard to stay calm π
Awesome haul. BEA was amazing. I totally enjoyed the experiences. I went on a few lines and they moved much more quicker.

I hope your son will be home this week and you can get back to normal. 37 books in one day, how did you carry them all?
Thank you Elizabeth.
They were very heavy and we parked like two blocks away, my back is killing me lol
Looking forward to hearing about BEA.
Deb
Thank you Deborah!
Happy belated birthday. I hope your little one gets out of hospital this one. New blog follower. Cant wait for your BE A post. π
Thank you, Megan.
Glad to have you stopping by, I am hoping to write it up today, so much to talk about. Just didn’t get a lot of pictures. Just of my books π
Happy belated birthday π I understand how you didn’t feel like celebrating with your kid away at the hospital, hopefully you’ll be able to do it all together next week. 39 books in just a day ?! Wow, that day was fruitful, lol, then again, BEA doesn’t happen every day π So enjoy them, have a great week with all of your family, hopefully !
Thank you π I am hoping so too.
Yes it was a good haul, I was very happy it didn’t have a lot of Popular books but Im ok with it, maybe I will find my next favorite read π
Hopefully oxox
I have serious book envy! What fun and how fantastic to meet all the authors! I can definitely understand not being in the mood to celebrate birthdays this week. Hopefully Ryan will be home soon and you can make up for the delay with something extra special. Happy belated birthday and have a great week!
Lol it was really a nice day. I am hoping to be able to go next year for the entire event. I believe it’s in Chicago, it will be a little vacation for me and my husband I think π
I hope so too, the house just isn’t the same without him.
Thank you, Katherine π
Glad you made it to BEA- sound fun. And a great stack of books! I’ll look forward to your post on that – and your thoguhts on Get Dirty too. I was a big fan of the first book.
Happy birthday! π
You need to read Get Dirty, it was a perfect end. I wished she would have had one more since I love those girls but it was really good π
BEA was a Blast and we had a great time. Thanks for the Birthday Wishes π
