Week in READ-view is a post I have posted every Sunday telling what have I been up to during the week and I thought it would be great to link it with The Sunday Postโ€ฆ.The Sunday Post is a meme sponsored by the awesome Kimba at the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. Itโ€™s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog

Someone stuck me in a snow globe and wont stop shaking it. We have had one storm after another,
I believe we got about 20 inches of snow in total since Monday. I love winter but I have had enough!!!

Saturday – My To-Be Read List

It has been so crazy all week with the snow and the kids being home I didn’t have a lot of time to read,
I am almost done with Sing Sweet Nightingale by Erica Cameron, I should be done with this by the time this post goes live.

such an original book and I am loving the characters. I should have the review some time this week. The only thing I got this week was The Hero’s Guide to Being an Outlaw by Christopher Healy I squealed, screamed, jumped up and down and now this is my next read. THANK YOU SO MUCH EDELWEISS AND HARPER COLLINS!!! I can’t wait to readit but I am so sad this is the last book in the series, I seriously might cry. If you have not read this series you must it’s hilarious

Next I am reading Stim by Kevin Berry for a blog tour in March
I am really excited to read this book since it centers around a boy with Autism
And for those who don’t know my son is Autistic (High Functioning, PDD-NOS) the synopsis for this book reminds me of maybe how he will be when he gets to be the kid in the books age. Really looking forward to this one ๐Ÿ™‚

I will be getting everything ready for COYER next month. I am hoping to read a lot. I will have my goal post up on Monday, Now I just have to finalize what I plan to read and stop changing it. I’m on my 4th list otherwise I wont have it ready for Monday!!!

What else is going on?

Besides the all this snow not a damn thing because I can’t leave the house lol. My poor son hasn’t had his family birthday party yet but we are hoping to at least go to the diner next week for a big family dinner (my sons favorite place to eat is the diner). Last week I made a cake for him like the one in the Minecraft game, Iย  never got to post what it looked like so here it is ๐Ÿ™‚ He Loved it.

CakeEvery year the night before the kids birthday we have a wall in the house that I decorate with signs and stuff, I make while they are sleeping so when they wake up in the morning it’s all decorated for their birthday. This year for my son I wanted to keep with the Minecraft theme and made this at like 12 at night (really need to plan this kind of craft earlier) but he absolutely loved it and I was very impressed at to what I was able to accomplished half asleep.

1601223_10203038707145577_669557592_nThat was pretty much all we did. My husband and I don’t celebrate Valentine’s Day so we didn’t do anything on Friday plus he had to work at night so we didn’t see each other till later anyway so it didn’t matter much ๐Ÿ™‚ Hope this week we can get through it without a storm, at this point I would be happy if it would be a warm rain just to get rid of all the snow. We are going to need a boat when it all melts.

    • I know and it’s so warm right now but next week it’s going to snow again. It’s safe to say I’m not a fan of snow anymore ๐Ÿ™‚
Sing Sweet Nightingale was really great! I just posted the review for it and it was so different, love it ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. Wow I can’t believe how your car is just goneโ€ฆ until spring. Mad. Hope you keep safe though! I love the wall you did for the birthday, and the cake is amazing. I’m looking forward to your review of Stim which would take my interest as well. Books on autism can be hit and miss in my opinion but it sounds like this one will be good and relevant. Happy Reading.

    • I am hoping it is done well. Knowing my son I at least have something to compare it with. However all cases of Autism are different so we will see i guess. I am looking forward to it ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Hero’ Guide is really a great series, I love the fairytale retelling and it’s hilarious.
If it keeps snowing it might not melt till august. We are running out of places to put it lol

  2. I have to admit I think all that snow looks beautifull, but I know what a pain in the ass it can be if you actually have to go somewhere. We had a mild winter here in the Netherlands, no snow at all and only a few cold days.

So awesome to hear you are loving Sing Sweet Nightingale, it will be my next read and I can’t wait to get started. As my current read is a bit of a disapointment so far.

The Hero’s Guide to Being an Outlaw looks like a fun book, will have to check out that series.

And that Minecraft inspired cake looks so awesome. I play minecraft sometimes, it’s a fun game. And I think it’s great how you made all these minecraft inspired things for your son’s birthday!

    • I can’t wait to see what you thought of SSN. I enjoyed it and am not rather impatient for the next one. Hero’ Guide is a must check out, So great.
I play also by myself and with kids on our ipads. No real point to the game but it is rather fun ๐Ÿ™‚

    • I finished SSN and it was very good. I would totally recommend requesting it. ๐Ÿ™‚ My daughter also loved minecraft and for 6 shes is pretty good a building houses it’s amazing. ๐Ÿ™‚

That’s a lot of snow! Don’t think we’ve ever had that much. Although we had some pretty bad snow falls lately but it’s only bad here because they don’t clear it up right away or very well! Hope things thaw out for you soon! Happy Reading this week!

    • I remember getting snow like this when I was very little but it has been a very long time since we had snow this much, I feel like it’s been every week. ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Thank you ๐Ÿ™‚ its one of my favorite things to do for them. From what i understand we have one more storm this week just hoping it not a big snow fall.
