Monthly Book Report ~ Jan is the getting ready for the year month. #bookreport

Posted February 5, 2020 by Michelle in Monthly Book Report / 13 Comments

Last month was a pretty good reading month for me! WHAT! Like I haven’t been able to say that in a rather long time and I hope it keeps up, I have been making sure to squeeze in some super steamy reading and I think that might have helped. I love my MG and YA but my taste in reading has changed a bit to enjoy some steamy and epic fantasy reads and I love when that happens.

This month is a short one, obviously, so I was hoping to get in some shorter reads to make my goal of about 5 this month also.

My reading challenges are going ok but I must be honest that I never count Jan when it comes to starting the year. I always think of Jan as the getting ready for the year month. Like the month we try and get out shit together before actually starting the year for real. I think I am ready to get this year started and heading in the direction I want it to.

  1. Wow, I’m going to say you didn’t just fit in the hot and steamy, you made them a feature 😏 and I say hell yes! Lol!

You’re ambitious with your #2020hw – 3 books a month for Author Luv!? Woot! I did 1 and that’s it. No other classes. I’m decidedly part time lol.

I’m glad you had such a good reading month! I hope February is also looking great.

    • Madison Faye’s books aren’t long so 3 books is about 300 pages. I can read most of her books in less than a day or a full day. So three was perfect for her books. I might fail this semester since the Mix it up seems to be my issue, I think I am dropping his class. That one I need to do alone. I might skip that and just stick to author luv and genre. I don’t know why I didn’t post it but I did make the Author Luv last month. Her books are honestly my favorite.

    • I need to get my tasks in order, I have a few I want to tackle this weekend if I can. Just get as organized as I can, that’s the plan for this year 🙂

  2. You did great! I want to read Malamader but can’t find it anywhere to read, none of my libraries have it. Bummer, so you need to let me know if it’s worth it or not! 🙂

    • I got that from the owlcrate box when they did it for charity. I thought my daughter might like it. Bummer they don’t have it. My library barely has anything.

  3. Funny, that is how I always see January, too. Glad you feel you had a good month of planning and reading. Looks like most were good ratings, too.

Wishing you a great February working on your goals, Michelle!

    • I’m starting to think everyone does lol. I had a lot of fun books in Jan. I have a few this month too. I’m just in such a good place with reading.
