WIR&TSP

Week in READ-view is a post I have posted on Sundays telling you what I have been up to this week and what I read or am reading. The Sunday Post is a meme sponsored by the awesome Kimba at the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Real Life & Blog News:

Took a mini vacation last weekend and it was very nice to get away for a little while. It was a nice walking on the boardwalk and hanging around the house.

This week was a little sad for me, I had to say goodbye to my VW Cabrio. It was 13 years old but it was a pretty good car, however it has been having a lot of issues lately and I just couldn’t afford to fix it plus it’s not really kid friendly. It has gone to a good home that I know will fix it (my husband’s boss) and I hope the girl that will be driving it will love it as much as I did.

This weekend we headed down the shore again and spent the day at the town pool, it was really nice and the kids finally got the chance to try out the slide since last year they had just learned how to swim. I felt a lot more comfortable letting them do the slide into the 10ft of water knowing they will be able to swim.

I am finally on a roll when it come to reading, I finished 3 books this week. Summer always gets me motivated to read, I hope I can keep up this pace and get a ton of books read this summer. Now if only I could write the reviews as quickly as I read the books. πŸ˜‰ I have been working on some drafts and will have a bunch of stuff ready for when I go away the first week of August. I am also currently working on making a Website for Limabean Designs, little nervous about it but I know IΒ can do it πŸ™‚

My picture this week is one that almost made me fall off my chair. This band is a really amazing listen to them often on SiriusXM Octane.Β I SWEAR I got a Twitter notice that I was being followed by Adelitas Way, I thought it was a fan group but NOPE it’s THE ACTUAL GROUP!!!! Of course I had to follow back πŸ™‚

  1. Being able to take a nice break and just hang out and have fun with the water is always nice! It looks like the kids had a lot of fun with the slide, Michelle.
Are you getting a new car instead of the VW?
Your new books look great, especially the cowboy firefighter one πŸ˜‰ That cover is hot! I have the same problem as you these days, I do read quite a lot, but as we spend most of our days outside, it’s a different story when it comes to writing reviews.
Have a wonderful week and happy reading!

  2. Yay for mini breaks, the pools look awesome. We are freezing our butts off in Australia with an icy cold snap here for the week. Looking forward to checking out your website and wow you are so organised with the blog posts and reviews … nice work! Have a great week and happy reading πŸ™‚

  3. Yay for time away! I have every confidence that you will rock a website for Limabean Designs. πŸ™‚ Have you picked another car? I very much want to get rid of our money pit van, but can’t for another 2 years. We want a truck desperately. *sigh* Have a wonderful week Michelle!

Psst…I keep going to my MPM post just to look at the meme. LOL

    • Thank you! I really need to hear that because I am lacking it completely lol

Not right now we are only going to have one car. We also have a ford escape so we will use that until we can’t take it anymore and get another πŸ™‚

I am so glad you like it!!!

  4. Hope you enjoy Witches of Blackbrook. I’ve seen it floating around on other blogs this week. I think I need to give it a go!

Glad you had a good mini-vacation. I always hate to come home afterwards! It’s so hard to get back into the routine of regular life. Have a great week πŸ˜€

    • I am looking forward to it the cover just has me captivated and the synopsis is fantastic πŸ™‚

I love my mini weekend vacations but it is hard to come home, the kids want to stay down it’s just to long of a trip for me to come to work and my son is still in school for the extended year but they might stay with my mom in August which will be nice. It’s just so nice down there πŸ™‚

  5. Looks like you had an awesome vacation. That swimming place looks fun. Must have been hard to say goodbye to your car. I never owned a car myself, but when we were little I always felt a bit sorry for the old car when my mom got a new one. You certainly come to care about a car you drove in often.

I am still reading the same book as at the start of this week, not really making much progress. You did great reading 3 books in a week.

And tat’s awesome you’re working on a website for Limabean! I can’t wait to see how it looks like when it’s finished! Havea great week!

    • 13 years that car was my baby and the first car I bought myself so it was hard to say goodbye.

The mini vacation was very nice and I had a nice time. We will do mini weekend vacations all month until the first week of August when we go away for the week. I am really looking forward to that.

I am excited about doing the website it will make me look a lot more professional plus it will give me some practice on how to make websites and then I can offer those as well πŸ™‚

  6. I love boardwalks, there’s something about strolling along- taking in sights. Glad you guys got to relax. and that slide/ pool look great. How fun. I’ve been reading a ton lately too, just flying through books the last few weeks. Kinda nice. πŸ™‚

The Map to Everywhere looks fun! Love that cover.

  7. That public pool looks awesome! My son would love that slide.

What is it with VW’s and saying goodbye to them?? I had a black Jetta that was my baby. I bought it in Cali, it was loaded and I looked cool. But it ended up being our 3rd vehicle in rural Maine. I was so sad to sell it but I had a bidding war for it and it went to a teenage girl who I hope didn’t crash it the first time out πŸ™‚

Good luck on the new Limabean website!!!! It’ll be great, don’t be nervous πŸ™‚

    • It really is a VERY clean. The water is Freezing which is good because that’s how you want the water when you have a lot of people in it.

I was so very sad, it was the car I always wanted and I am happy to have been able to get it but the girl who is going to get it now is totally going to love it πŸ™‚

Thank you! I just hope it isn’t as hard as I think it will be Lol
