Week in READview:
Last Sunday we found out that my daughter might have been in contact with someone that tested positive for COVID. I had her tested Monday morning and My Husband and I were on quarantine this week while we waited on the results. This week has been super stressful. On Thursday we found out that test come back negative. I am sure she is tired of me asking her how she feels and feeling her head. I figured she was negative but it is nice to have the confirmation however we will still keep an eye on her just in case. Now we are waiting to find out if the guy at work (who thinks COVID is a joke) tests negative but I’ll worry about that in the next Sunday Post.
The rest of the week was just working from home and doing some design work for Limabean Designs.

On Saturday I participated in the 24 hour Readathon. I wasn’t really involved this time like I usually am but I did spend most of the day listening to an audiobook while doing design work and playing the Sims. It was a nice relaxing day and the book was sooooo good. I am not a big audiobook person because I usually can’t focus on the voice for too long (ADHD) but I had the physical book also so when I felt like I was starting to become unfocused I would follow along in the book. It really helped plus I have to listen at 1.3x speed, any faster and I can’t keep up. I enjoyed spending the day listening to the book and will finish it up today. (As I write this I am still listening so I may have finished)
I can’t believe this is the last week in October. I am looking forward to watching a few horror movies this week before making the official switch to all Christmas Movies, All the time! and Murder because I can’t give up on watching my true crime stuff. The new Unsolved Mysteries was sooooo good! I can’t wait for them to do another season.
The weather was weirdly damp and warm but by Saturday it cooled off so much the breeze coming through the window left like heaven. I think we are officially into fall weather…took us long enough! I’ll be honest, I am so jealous of some of your snow. I don’t think it’s going to snow around here, they are calling for a mild winter. I hate mild winters!

I’m glad to hear your daughter tested negative! It’s a scary time … I really hope that come the spring we start to see the end of all of this. 🙁
What a relief about your daughter! I hope your coworker’s test will come back negative too. In Italy we’re having a huge resurgence of the virus…because people got lazy and went around with their masks on their elbow, I suppose 🙄.
I’m glad to hear the tests have been negative so far. There have been a few scares where my husband works but they’re all super proactive and stay home at even the tiniest chance of exposure and the company is great about speedy testing.
We already had our first hard freeze here this weekend. I’m not ready! lol

Glad your daughter tested negative! That must be a big load off your mind. I swear waiting for results is the hardest part, not knowing. And people who don’t take it seriously… ugh I don’t understand those idiots.
It’s definitely felt like fall around here, it rained most of the week and we got some windy days too blowing all the leaves off the trees. I’m with you- I hope we get lots of snow!!! 🙂
I’m glad your daughter is ok and hope you are not exposed either. I’ve been so busy with yard projects in my own little world it’s been a nice sheltered time. I listen to a lot of audiobooks but can’t do it when I am writing reviews or blog visiting. See you later at book club!?!

I’m glad your daughter’s test came back negative! I did the 24-hour readathon too. It’s one of my favorite bookish events. Have a great week!
I’m sure it’s a big relief that she’s negative , how anyone can be blasé about Covid is beyond me.
Congrats on a successful readathon
Wishing you a great reading week
Glad the test was negative! I’m not sure how anyone can not believe in Covid at this point, but that’s another conversation. I’m kind of hoping for a mild-ish winter. Last year was mild, but the two before didn’t go above 20 for weeks on end, and that gets really old. One year we went to an indoor waterpark just to get away from the cold. Obviously that won’t work now. Have a great week!
Glad for the negative tests! Hopefully your coworker is negative too. I feel the same about audiobooks myself. I honestly can’t pay much attention when read to. My mind tends to wander when I listen to music in the car, I can only imagine how far it will drift with a book! Lol. I’m just a traditional reader I guess. Lol.
Nice new reads too! All new to me ones but I hope you enjoy them all!
Here’s my StS
Have a GREAT day!

Really glad your daughter was negative! I am so not jealous of anyone’s snow…lol. I hope all the snow goes your way and stays out of Missouri. 🙂 We are suppose to get some freezing rain on Tuesday and I am so not happy. 🙁 I am counting down the days till spring (even if that means tornado season) 😉
I’m glad your daughters test was negative! I hate mild winters as well. Bring on the snow. But it seems we haven’t gotten a good snow in a couple years here. Sigh.
