Week in READview:
I hope you all had a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS or Happy Whatever you might celebrate! I just hope it was the bestest day ever!
This is it! The last week of 2020, I know that at midnight it wont just go back to normal but the idea of not being in 2020 anymore makes me so happy and feel a little hopeful about what might be to come.
We had a very quiet Christmas Eve and Christmas, it was very nice. I think after losing my dad this year it was good to have the holiday be just us. My mom, sister and nephew came over both days and we had yummy food, watched tv and just hung out. We plan to order Chinese Food and Ribs and Chicken for the Portuguese Restaurant for New Years Eve but first I am looking forward to having this week off and just relaxing with the kids.
On Saturday I got up pretty early and was just wiped out. I honestly think the entire year just caught up with me. At noon I jumped back into bed and slept until 4:30. I am not sorry. lol I totally needed it, it felt so good to not care and just sleep. I really need to try that at least once a month next year. 😀
`I MADE MY GOODREAD’S GOAL OF 50 BOOK!!!! I figured I would with the quick reads and the entire Mistletoe Montana series I am almost finished with. The books are hot or miss, I actually liked when they all sort of flowed together but a lot of them were just all over the place. I am almost finished with His Holiday and will be getting into Cold Killjoy today.
My family was very good to me. I got lots of new books for Christmas and also got a few Amazon Gift Cards so I am set to get a few more books in the new year that come out soon. 5 Books and a case of Barefoot Cabernet Sauvignon the big bottles. I am super happy and just loved spending time with the family.

It sounds like you had a lovely holiday! I have The Five if you want to buddy read that in the future. Sometimes our bodies just need rest. I have learned this year that naps are the best!
I hope your week was productive!
Sounds like a quite, lowkey Christmas, Michelle. I think it was that way for a lot of us. And I actually liked it that way. It took a lot of the pressure off. Your NYE menu sounds so yummy. And hooray for making your GR goal!
Glad you had a nice Christmas. It was quiet here too and I loved it. Your plans for New Years sound pretty fabulous too- give me all the Chinese food haha!
Your books look good. I need to read Harrow.
Have a happy New Year!!!
I am glad you had a calm and peaceful holiday. I can’t agree more – I just wish this year was over already and things get better soon.
Glad you had a nice Christmas, Michelle! Ours was quiet and nice too. I’m also super excited to see the back of 2020 even though I know 2021 will be just as bad for at least the first quarter… Or half, lol.
“At noon I jumped back into bed and slept until 4:30. I am not sorry. lol I totally needed it, it felt so good to not care and just sleep.”
Preach to the choir LOL. Sometimes one just HAS to.
I know what you mean about switching to 2021, but as long as it gives us hope! Happy new year!
Yay for hitting your goodreads goal! And if only the start of the new year meant all the terrible of 2020 was over. But, hopefully it will bring in small changes that bring everyone hope and peace!!
I’m so happy you had a peaceful holiday with good food and naps. Have an amazing week to relax and enjoy. Don’t try to do too much.

Wouldn’t it be so wonderful if at the chime of the end of 2020 ….all of our lives could go back to normal? But I have a feeling it will take another year or so to recover from what this year has been. Hope you had a joy filled Christmas day!
I’m glad you had a celebratory if quiet Christmas. Enjoy al, those bookish gifts!
Wishing you a great reading week, and a joyous new year
I’m glad you had a nice holiday! And your NYE sounds yummy! My mom and I do finger foods and appetizers every year. 😛
Sounds like you had a nice Christmas and hope you have a great Happy New Year! 🙂 *hugs* Look at you go with all those reads!! 🙂 Hope you enjoy your new books, I really liked Scritch Scratch!! I am still slogging through These Violent Delights so hope you like that more than I am…lol. I am at 70% and I really just need to get it down before the end of the year!
Have a great week and happy reading!

I’m so happy you had a nice, peaceful Christmas, Michelle! It was the same at my house – just the kids, the dogs, and us. It was really nice, though. With excellent food, lots of conversations and just having a good time being together.
I’m with you – I can’t wait for 2020 to be over, even if I know that a lot of things will stay the same once the new year starts. I just hope 2021 will be closer to what we used to call normal.
I miss your face! *big hugs*
